Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Ashely Sokolowski.

Meghan Ashely, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After studying Theology and Philosophy during a college, I felt the next logical decision was… fashion school 😂! Upon leargning illustration, design and sewing, I started a retro, mens swimwear brand. After a couple years, I then decided to delve into personal styling.
Before I started Meghan Ashley Styling, I helped start as the Head Stylist, a silicon valley styling company. This company focused on virtual styling with a personal connection, that had no limits to sourcing the right pieces for the client.
After getting married and moving to France with my husband. I decided to start my own Personal Styling business. I’m going into my 8th year and it has really been a delight to help women take the stress out of getting dressed.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have more of a creative eye, so it took the help of my husband to set out a practical business plan. What seemed like a colossal project was acommplished with the right baby steps.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I give women one on one guidance to maximize the pieces already in their closet and very thoughtfully, shop the right pieces to maximize their options. Most often, it’s not that you need a whole new closet, but rather the RIGHT pieces to work for your personal aesthetic and the practicality of your lifetstyle. My clients are busy, so working via text and video calls makes it super efficient.
Also, many of my clients travel so helping them with packing and planning outfits for their trip is a real delight!

What was your favorite childhood memory?
When I signed up for Brownies in the 2nd grade I had to buy the outfit. I threw a fit in the store that I had to wear a brown beret. Who would have thought I grow up, love berets and marry a Frenchie!
