Hi Mapple, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As a mother to two wonderful boys, Luca (9) and Maverick (7), family has always been at the heart of my journey. I have been living in Scottsdale for over 25 years. I met my husband, who hails from Hamburg, Germany, in LA. Both my parents are also here so it’s great being close to family.

With both of my sons in school, I found myself with more time on my hands and an opportunity to focus on something deeply personal. My youngest son and I both struggle with eczema, which inspired me to create a bath and body line dedicated to all-natural, clean products. What started as a small venture in May 2022—giving out handmade soap samples to my children’s teachers and school staff—has grown into a thriving business. Today, my products, which include soaps, solid lotion bars, creams, avocado oil-based lip balms, body mists, and home fragrances. They are featured in hotels and stores across the Valley, as well as Flagstaff, and Show Low.

Knowing that I’m helping others manage their dry skin while providing safe, synthetic-free products brings me immense joy. I love being creative, experimenting with fragrances, and designing products that blend beauty and function. As I prepare to launch my online store, I’m excited about what lies ahead for my growing small business. They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life—and I’m grateful to live that truth every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, it has been smooth sailing. If there’s been any challenge in running the business, it’s that I’m not very tech-savvy. Navigating websites, algorithms, and online promotion has been a learning curve for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I own a small, artisan business that creates handmade soaps, solid lotion bars, lip balms, moisturizing body creams, cleansing balms, and a home fragrance line featuring room and linen sprays, candles, and reed diffusers. What makes my brand truly unique is our unwavering commitment to quality, sustainability, and aesthetics. Every product is micro-batched to ensure it is crafted with love, precision, and care. Unlike large corporations producing thousands of generic items, each of our creations is thoughtfully designed and made with 100% natural, clean ingredients that are safe for the skin and the environment.

I specialize in helping people address their skincare concerns by offering products that are gentle yet effective. From soothing dry skin to tackling eczema or other problem areas, my line is designed to heal, nourish, and restore, all while prioritizing what’s healthiest for your body. What we put on our skin directly impacts how we feel, and that’s why every ingredient is intentionally chosen to be safe, natural, and beneficial.

Beyond the quality of the products, what truly sets us apart is the stunning minimalist design of our packaging. Each product features a clean black-and-white aesthetic that seamlessly blends into any home décor. Not only do my products feel luxurious on the skin, but they also look beautiful sitting on your countertops, making self-care feel even more special.

Since launching in May 2022, I’ve been overwhelmed by the response from customers. Once people try my products, they become loyal customers, returning time and again because they recognize the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that goes into every item. I also take pride in offering services like custom gift sets, personalized product consultations, and even local workshops to educate people about the importance of clean, natural skincare.

This business is not just about selling products; it’s about creating an experience—an experience rooted in care, integrity, and passion. For me, it’s a privilege to share something I love with others, and I’m proud of how far this journey has taken me in such a short time.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
The success of my business would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the people around me. First and foremost, I owe a great deal of credit to my husband. Despite running a full-time business in the Midwest and frequently traveling back and forth to Scottsdale, he has been an integral part of my journey. From late nights spent helping with packaging and designing logos to printing new labels for potential customers, his dedication has been a cornerstone of my success. His willingness to support my vision, even with his own demanding schedule, has been nothing short of remarkable.

I am also deeply grateful to the incredible friends who have stood by me throughout this journey. Their support, whether through purchasing products for themselves, restocking monthly, or buying curated gift boxes for their friends and loved ones, has helped me expand my reach far beyond what I could have done on my own. In particular, I’d like to recognize Jenny Schlitt, Emily Burgat, and Sally Morton, whose continued encouragement and loyalty have connected me to countless new customers throughout the Valley.

Another pivotal partnership has been with Luxury Auto Collection (LAC) in Scottsdale, which has purchased 100 curated gift boxes from me to present to their clients with each car sale. Collaborating with LAC has allowed me to reach high-end clients, including entrepreneurs, hotel and restaurant owners, athletes, and other influential individuals—an audience I would have otherwise never been able to access. Their trust in my brand has been instrumental in elevating my business.

I also want to thank my children, who have been patient and understanding when I’ve worked late nights to meet deadlines or create new products. Their love and support fuel my drive every single day.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude to my parents, who have been my lifelong role models. They instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity, always reminding me that dedication and effort will take you farther than talent alone. Their wisdom has been a guiding principle throughout my life and this entrepreneurial journey.

The success of this business is not mine alone—it is a collective effort, and I am deeply thankful to everyone who has played a role in bringing my vision to life.
