Life & Work with Krissy Labubblebar of phx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krissy Labubblebar

Hi Krissy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
3 Years ago I took a chance and begin LABUBBLEBAR and started doing balloons as a hobby. My daughter has been my inspiration since day one . I am a mother of a sweet angel name Kaliyah . I begin this business without knowing what would be in store for me in this industry. Over the years I have worked along side companies like Starry, Zelle, Heineken, Kittenish and have even appeared on espn during the NBA draft. It all started in my living room with little practice from online YouTube videos from others in my industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is perfect but I always say you learn as you grow. A common struggle us event designers struggle with is doing it all by ourselves. We are our own promo team, content creator, customer service agent all in one while also trying to manage family life at home and that can be a bit overwhelming . Ive become better with time management and not getting so caught up in work through experinence.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Balloons are more than just party supplies to me: they are a work of art when done the correct way. and that’s exactly what I bring to the table when a client books with me . My goal is that my passion shows through my service. Balloons are so much more than party decor its part of an experience. I believe in connecting through celebration ! I am most known for creating magical set ups and props for events . I am most proud of my consistency and ability to manage my small business and motherhood . Whats sets me apart is my drive . Im always working no matter what , always willing to learn something new ,always promoting myself and staying humble and treating my business as if I just began yesterday.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see myself working alongside a lot more corporate companies and becoming a teacher for balloon art. Holding my own training camps for college students who are eager to develop the skills that I have developed. I also pray for more contracts with stadiums such as nab, wbna, and nfl . My biggest gift is giving back so over the next couple years I’m confident I will be partnered during the holidays with many non profit organizations giving back to the community.
