Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Flaherty.

Hi Jake, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I discovered Rumble while working in the tech industry in San Francisco. Rumble was the hottest workout on the market with a cult-like following. When moving back to the Phoenix area to be with family, I thought that Arizona was the ideal market for Rumble.

No other workout in Arizona combined HIIT training with boxing in a nightclub-like atmosphere. My favorite part about Rumble was that it truly was for all fitness levels. I took my business acumen and my passion for fitness to bring Rumble to AZ.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Opening a business in any market comes with its own challenges. We built out the Tempe location during COVID-19 and dealt with a variety of delays due to supply chain issues. For us, our biggest challenge is creating awareness of the market. Most people in AZ have no previous exposure to the Rumble Boxing brand. Many people are naturally intimidated by boxing and have expectations that it will be something they need skills and experience to do, which is not the case. We constantly work to ensure our first-time clients are comfortable with the workout and have built a lot of awareness in our market!

Rumble Boxing is not only good for you physically, but also mentally, so our members always leave class feeling on top of the world! I am lucky to have an amazing trainer team, enthusiastic front desk staff, and a dedicated management team to help make Rumble Boxing what it is today in the Arizona markets. Our community continues to grow with people from all different walks of life.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Seeing my Rumble studios come to life was one of the proudest and most rewarding moments of my life. Now, happiness for me is seeing members achieve their goals and create new friendships in the community that we have created. I am excited to expand the Rumble brand to other parts of the valley.
