Today we’d like to introduce you to Freddie Dahdal.
Hi Freddie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised here in Phoenix, Arizona.
I was the first person in my family to be born in the United States after my parents migrated here in the late 80s. Growing up my father was a real estate agent and also owned rental properties. Reflecting on my childhood, I spent quite a few weekends and summers helping my dad work on his rentals. These experiences helped shape and influence the person I am today.
I graduated from ASU amidst a global pandemic and was challenged with the daunting task of finding a job. I went back to what I already knew I loved. Real Estate. But instead of becoming a real estate agent like my father, I wanted to try something new and different. I decided to marry my two career interests, real estate, and finance, which brings me to where I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think my biggest challenge in life is maintaining perspective.
Personally, I feel like when I can maintain the proper perspective on my life and my problems, I can overcome them much easier. Failure is inevitable, it’s all about how you react to those failures. I try to learn as much as I can from my failures without letting them hold me back.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve been immersed in the real estate industry my whole life.
This sparked a curiosity and passion for real estate which lead to an interest in finance. Years later after I graduated college, I entered the real estate space as a Mortgage Loan Advisor. Ever since I started in the industry, I have helped countless people accomplish their financial goals whether it be buying their first home, purchasing an investment, refinancing their current home, becoming debt-free, etc.
I pride myself on communication and transparency. Buying a house is already hectic enough, I make the mortgage process simple and quick.
What makes you happy?
My philosophy is quite simple. perspective + gratitude = happiness.
I saw this in a video on social media years ago. As I began to exercise perspective and gratitude in my day-to-day life I noticed I had more frequent “happy” days. Not in the sense that my problems magically disappeared, but my relationship with the negative stuff started to become healthier.
By implementing a newfound perspective and gratitude around the negative stuff in life, I became naturally happier.
