Life & Work with Frank Richardson of Chandler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Frank Richardson.

Hi Frank, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved photography, I just didn’t know what to do with it or how it fit into my life. When I finally stepped into it, God started shaping it into purpose.
I began during a season where I was trying to grow and find direction. The more I shot, the more it made sense. I started seeing people the way God sees them — valuable and full of story.
My wife, Rhuneisha, is a big part of my journey.
She came up with the name Richer Moments Photography and keeps me centered, grounded, and focused. Her support has pushed me further than I ever expected.
I started small, learning on the fly, making mistakes, and growing through them. Now I shoot portraits, weddings, and real moments. I’m still learning and trusting God to guide every step. My story is simple: I always loved photography, and God turned that love into something I can build with purpose.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve dealt with confidence issues, slow seasons, limited equipment, and trying to balance work, marriage, and building a business at the same time. There were moments I doubted myself and felt like quitting, but each challenge forced me to grow.

My wife helped keep me centered, and God kept giving me the strength to push through. Every struggle ended up shaping me and making the journey worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a portrait and wedding photographer, and I focus on capturing real emotions, real moments, and the natural beauty God placed in people. I’m known for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera — especially folks who usually feel awkward or unsure. I love bringing out confidence in people who don’t always see it in themselves.

What I’m most proud of is the growth. I started with barely any equipment and a lot of trial and error, but I stayed consistent. I’m also proud of the way my wife and I built Richer Moments Photography together — her creativity, her eye, and her support are a big part of what makes this business special.

What sets me apart is the way I connect with people. I don’t just show up to take pictures; I show up to serve. I care about the experience, the atmosphere, and making sure people walk away feeling seen and valued. I take my time to study light, skin tones, and emotion so every shot feels intentional.

At the end of the day, I want every session to feel like more than photos — I want it to feel like ministry, like family, like confidence being restored. That’s what makes my work different.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always the jokester — always smiling, laughing, and trying to make people around me feel good. I had a playful spirit and a big heart, and for the most part, I was a good kid. But I’ll be honest, I had my rebellious moments too. I’d push boundaries here and there, not in a destructive way, but enough to test limits and learn some lessons the hard way.

Even with that, I stayed respectful and tried to keep peace. I was curious, observant, and naturally drawn to creativity even before I knew what to do with it. I loved people, loved making folks feel comfortable, and that same energy shows up in my photography today. The kid who liked to bring joy into a room grew into the man who now brings that same spirit into every session.
