Today we’d like to introduce you to Federica Sbordone.
Hi Federica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a 27-year-old girl, and I was born in Italy. I’ve always had a passion for everything creative. With my mother as a child, I loved to spend the afternoons painting. With my father as a teenager, I discovered a love for photography. Subsequently, I undertook cinematography studies for my interest. During all these years, I have cultivated a love for art. At the same time, a parallel interest was growing in me: social media. I spent hours and hours on Netlog (at the time, that was the social network in vogue) looking at profiles and profiles of people. I looked at their photos and was inspired by them. I should have taken it more seriously and understood its real interest then. Today, apart from being a Micro Influencer, I am a Content Creator: I create digital content (photos and videos) for brands and agencies worldwide to be used on their social networks. You know when they say the constellations have aligned? Well, you will have understood what I’m talking about: all three of my passions have come together and merged into what has now become my number one mission.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If this question had been asked to me 5 years ago, I would have answered like this: yes, it has always been smooth. But to date, I have to answer like this: not. For 5 years, my road has taken another direction, but that’s okay. In summary, I have always lived a beautiful life. As a child, I was carefree; I was lucky enough always to be happy, light, and positive. And that was until a few years ago. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with a severe illness that affected my way of thinking, character, and many other aspects of my life. Luckily, I had my family by my side to support me, and today, I’m fine, but I don’t deny that it was horrendous to fall into the total abyss. I remember when a friend asked me during adolescence: “But you’re always happy! Haven’t you been through a bad time?” I honestly replied, “no, never. I don’t know what a bad time is”. And it was true then. But not today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an Instagram Micro-Influencer and Content Creator. I create photos and videos for my Instagram profile @efcarrot and the social profiles of brands worldwide. I also consider myself a UGC Creator (a term used a lot these days). I specialize in making short videos such as unboxing, testimonials, and reviews. I sell the content for both organic and paid use (ads). My approach to work is very professional: I truly believe in what I do and dedicate myself 100%. I’ve been creating content since 2014, and I have a lot of experience, but I don’t deny that, in the digital world, you must always be up to date because many things change from day to night. What differentiates me from the others is this: I have extreme professionalism. I leave nothing to chance. I give clients the best I can within their budgets and am always inclined to find a solution as close as possible to their needs. I am proud to be able to guarantee to anyone who wants to work with me a rapid delivery of the contents, a high quality of the same, and the utmost respect for the guidelines and set objectives.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As I said earlier, growing up was amazing! I have lovely childhood memories that today I can’t understand how simpler life was in those years. When you’re little, it’s all about discovery; everything is new, and you have a lot of enthusiasm. My personality was quite defined from the start: I was and still am very reserved and deep-hearted. Spending time alone isn’t just a pleasure; it’s a necessity. I need it to reflect, regenerate myself, and give life to my creativity. I have few friends, but it isn’t a problem; it’s an opportunity to have more time to feed my spirituality. My interests, again, as previously mentioned, merged. Now, when I look at a photo, film, or painting, I no longer look at them with the same eyes. I experimented with multiple photographic methods. I shot, wrote, and thought up short films. I create and produce new videos every day. Apart from this, growing up, I have cultivated new interests in other sectors. I draw inspiration and like to learn about interior design, digital marketing, sustainability, and mental health.
