Life & Work with Edmund Masi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edmund Masi

Hi Edmund, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The whole concept of Painted Porch Studios came to me in a dream on January 19, 2019. From there, I kept refining the model (full service production company: music/film/broadcast media) until I found success.

The journey has been truly surreal in that I woke up on January 20th with a mission. I immediately went to work & work on it all 16+ hours a day. It feels great & my passions are being fully realized.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The only barriers I have found is within the Cities themselves. I am offering a solution to fix our Cities, creatively. The leaders don’t care for it, but these beautiful individuals in the most underserved areas are loving it 100%!

I am funding everything without loans, grants or donations. This is my life’s work. I don’t take a salary, but we pay our Officers and Volunteers what they deserve for their dedication to the Mission.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I come from a drumming background. I recorded and toured pretty extensively & finally slowed things down a bit to manage my distillery in California & Painted Porch Studios, Inc.

I enjoy the Creative Process & as a filmmaker, I am in heaven. We are headquartered in Fredonia, AZ, the Gateway to The Grand Canyon. Beautiful landscape & even more so, the people. We are bordering Kanab, UT & it’s all just so dreamy. Little Hollywood is in Kanab, but I chose to setup shop in Fredonia! This is where I feel most comfortable.

We are naming Headquarters “SpacePort” & it’s going to be pretty spacey-looking 🥸

I just purchased a 10 acre property to house the Studios, horses, a massive community garden & a playground dedicated to my Daughter and Son.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has nothing to do with success. Timing is everything, and with that realization comes the need for patience. It took me decades to find this peace, and things are wildly successful as a result.

I’m a good businessman and I love meeting people. I’m a bit of a loner, but I open up because we need to begin communicating with one another again. Covid really killed our Spirit & I am determined to partner with positive folks to change that.
