Life & Work with Cindy Valente of Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Valente.

Cindy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into Podcasting and Life Coaching was born from a pivotal moment that changed everything. After a near death life threatening illness, this experience forced me to reexamine my life, I realized that time is too precious to live without purpose. What could have been the end instead became the beginning – a spark that fueled my mission to help others live fully, intentionally, and with respect for themselves and others.

From that turning point I leaned into my natural gift for connection and communication. I built my business “Strategic Development Life Coaching”, guiding people through the shifts that unlock new directions and possibilities. For me, it isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level advice; it’s about creating real transformation by helping people recognize their own patterns, strengths and potential.

Podcasting became a natural extension of my work. With my weekly live Podcasts “Just Be It” with Cindy Valente, I take conversations beyond theory and into everyday life – sharing personal stories, relatable scenarios,, and practical wisdom on topics like respect, communication, self-talk and celebrating life’s milestones. I use my platform not just to teach but to connect, reminding listeners that growth is possible at any stage, whether you’re reinventing your purpose at 20 or 60. It’s never too late to step into your best life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first began my journey into Life Coaching, I wasn’t starting with a ready-made roadmap or a team behind me. I was building everything from the ground up, completely on my own, a true entrepreneur. One of the biggest obstacles was simply learning how to put myself out there. I had no prior experience in web design, but I knew I needed a website to establish credibility. What should have been a simple “create and design” project quickly became a crash course in design and a lot of patience.

Without an existing network in the coaching world, connecting with people, building trust and sharing the value of what I do and what I have to offer in a competitive market requires true grit. These combined, require hours of effort, communication and persistence.

Social Media comes with its own set of hurdles. I didn’t grow up with branding and online presence, in fact it was non existent. It’s challenging as it is forever changing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in helping people uncover the small shifts that create big changes in their lives, guiding them to align their mindset, habits and choices with the life they truly want to live. My work in Strategic Development Life Coaching isn’t just about setting goals – it’s about giving my clients the clarity, confidence, and systems they need to follow through. I’m known for bringing calm presence to my clients who feel overwhelmed, breaking obstacles down into manageable steps that actually move them forward.

What I’m most proud of is witnessing those transformations, not only when a client reaches a milestone, but when they gain a deeper respect for themselves and their journey. What sets me apart is the combination of my lived experiences, including overcoming a near-death experience, and my ability to turn those lessons into practical, lasting tools.

What sets me apart in such a competitive field is the depth of my life experience and resilience, including my relatability. My journey gives me a perspective and empathy that can’t be taught in a textbook. I don’t just coach from theory, I coach from lived experience, blending strategy with real-life insight so my clients feel supported in a way that’s both practical and deeply personal.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
That’s a great question: I believe virtual sessions and online programs will continue to grow, making coaching more accessible worldwide. I also believe “Short and Powerful” programs will rise in popularity as well as group programs creating supportive peer communities.
