Life & Work with Brittany Formicola

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Formicola.

Hi Brittany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started with a Cricut Explore Air 2 and my first gig was my sister’s wedding in 2018. I fell in love with doing wedding signage and quickly expanded my knowledge when I started attending the Pinners Conference in Scottsdale.

These days in (addition to wedding signage) I enjoy making earrings, chunky knit blankets, bows/bow ties, hair clips, stickers, cake toppers, resin art, and just about anything and everything with vinyl and more! My favorite pieces to do are vinyl seating charts. They can be so difficult and require a lot of time and math but the final product is worth the stress.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a pretty smooth road for the most part. Don’t get me wrong, there have definitely been some very stressful nights but overall, I’ve been lucky.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do all things crafty! I started with wedding signage and did only that for about a year. After that, I just started expanding and wanting to know how to do everything! Lately, I’ve been printing and cutting the stickers for other local businesses. I’m most proud of my vinyl seating charts.

They turn out so beautiful, worth all the stress that happens during the process. I would say something that sets me apart from others would be that I’m not scared to try something new. If anyone would message me and ask “hey can you do this?” and it’s something I’ve never even thought about doing, I would dive right in and figure out how to get it done.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
A quick email or message on Instagram would be best! I do also have an Etsy shop, but that’s mainly focused on shippable items like earrings, dominoes, and hair clips.
