Today we’d like to introduce you to Briquelle Kayanne.

Hi Briquelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My photography journey started with a few high school courses, a college course, and a joy for capturing beautiful memories I could reflect on. What inspired my business was the desire to have creative control over my work and to capture special moments for others that they could cherish forever.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I thought photography would only be my part-time job. I was working in marketing for a trade show exhibit company. Unfortunately, I went from a full-time job to working 40 hours a month due to Covid, so I decided to pivot to photography and see where it would take me if I poured everything into it for one year. So that’s what I did, and my consistency got me to where I am now!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a couples photographer in the Phoenix area, specializing in engagement photos and weddings, and I also capture maternity and elopements. I’m known for capturing effortless-looking couples’ photos in the desert! I am also known for the creamy, earthy, and warm editing style that I created, and I have since decided to create a preset to sell to other photographers so they can achieve a similar editing style. I’m so proud of the growth I’ve achieved since starting my business in 2020, and I love that other photographers can come to me for inspiration and advice. I want to set myself apart in the industry by being approachable and helpful, whether that’s to clients or other photographers.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
It might be surprising that I started my business with no connections in the area, as I moved to Arizona from Wisconsin and started my business shortly after!
