Hi Bonnie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Queen B’s Royal Banana Bread started in 2006 and was sold at local Tucson farmer’s markets before entering all of AJ’s Fine Foods stores in Arizona. This gourmet banana bread quickly grew a following, and demand far outweighed supply. The business closed in 2010 and reopened in January 2022 with a renewed commitment to grow the business slowly! This amazing “caramel with roasted pecans” topped bread is available at select Tucson farmers’ markets and online at amazingbananabread.com or QueenBsRoyalBananaBread.com.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The early years were marked with amazing success, but growth was too rapid, and the business needed to catch up with the demand!

Queen B’s Royal Banana Bread is known for its decadent “made-from-scratch cream caramel with roasted pecan topping!” This “Praline Crown” paired with the moist banana bread underneath is a taste sensation! Everyone says it’s the best banana bread that they have ever had!

We’d love to hear about your fond memories from growing up.
My grandmother, Alice Lloyd, was a fantastic baker and always had a variety of freshly baked cookies, brownies, and treats ready when we visited!
