Today we’d like to introduce you to Barry Moltz.
Barry, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I left my job at IBM in 1990 to start my first company. The first one went out of business. The second one I was kicked out of it by my two partners. Fortunately, the third business I was able to sell the company, pay back the bank the $1M loan and make some money! I then did angel investing for 5 years. Afterwards, I wrote 7 small business books and now I mostly help entrepreneurs sell their companies,
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Lots of ups and down that helped with my resilience. When I fail, I try to learn what I can, have a pity party but then let go of the failure and take action to give myself another chance of success.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have always been a leader so in my “other time”, I was a martial artist, hiker and long distance cyclist.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I now help small business owners in two ways. First, I help them get unstuck. While there business might be somewhat successful, they are not where they want to be. Secondly, I help small businesses owners exit their company when they are ready.
