Life & Work with Antoine Ratliff of Chandler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoine Ratliff.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
For me, the beginning is marked by my initiation into Pranic Healing, a no-touch energy healing practice. I was fascinated by the simplistic and scientific approach to understanding and utilizing energy as a form of medicine and spiritual development so powerfully that I felt a deep and utter certainty that this would be the vessel through which I could help heal our world. I took an introductory class, then a Level 1 class, then shortly after that, several advanced classes. There was a feverish desire within me to absorb all that I could and to use it as much as I was able too, to do as much good as possible. I joined a local free healing clinic and would share what I learned with people who came to the clinic for healing. This was the spark that set me on the healers path, too which I can attribute the start of my real Journey.

I learned Pranic Healing in 2012. The experiences I had, and the miraculous things I saw in relation to its practice continued to fuel my ambition and excitement as a healer. After years of attending clinics, and working with individual clients in my available time, it dawned on me that unless I found some way to live this as a lifestyle, it would always be a hobby, or something resting on the back burner. It was around the time that my first child was born that I decided it was time to turn my passion into a career. This, however, was much easier said than done.

I knew very few individuals who did this alone for a living, and none of whom with a spouse and children to support. It seemed to me that in order to live the life I sought as a healer, the tools at my disposal had to expand beyond Pranic Healing, but be similar enough in application that I could seamlessly blend and apply Pranic Healing with it. And after some deliberation with my wife, It seemed Massage Therapy was the perfect fit for me. Years of martial arts, working as a mover, and a variety of hands on trade work had lent me strong and capable hands, which were made uniquely sensitive to subtle vibrations by my training in Pranic Healing.

So I embarked on the next major leg of my Healers Journey by enrolling in Massage School in 2016. To me, it felt like the angels in Heaven would sing high praise for this work I was doing, as though it were well ordained that I be doing it and nothing else with my life in that moment. I felt exalted. I loved (nearly) every moment of my schooling, and graduated with honors (for service excellence and top tier endurance in clinicals), which also seemed to be, for me, a moment smiled upon from above.

Upon graduation, I took a series of Jobs that I can only describe as an upward trajectory of healing education and personal expansion. Working for Chiropractors doing chair massage, to doing medical massage at a Health Clinic in Scottsdale, then the vast leap into Luxury Spa Health and Wellness at a high end wellness resort. It was here that I gained the majority of my specialty training that has sharpened and expanded my skills. I learned about body treatments, such as wraps and scrubs, unique therapies like heated Salt Stone therapy, gemstone therapy, Poultice therapy, and highly advanced forms of body transformation, such as Ayurvedic Medicine and Massage, Hydrotherapy and Aquatic bodywork. It was also at this wonderful Wellness Resort that I was given my first opportunity to discover the next leg of my journey and an extension of my hearts joy: Developing and teaching art class.

Developing art was always a love for me, but it was a silent love affair. Always something I did in the peace of solitude, and with hours of experimentation and contemplation. Long before I found Pranic Healing, I had a deep love of creative artistic expression. Not in any one particular form of expression mind you, but expression in and of itself. I loved to see other people create something spectacular out of nothing, and would find ways to do what they did to make something of my own. From painting, sculpting, molding, sketching, calligraphy, crafting, resin pouring, and many other means, I would make things from nothing purely for the joy of it. At some point that I cannot exactly pinpoint, I felt a deep gravitational pull towards geometry and symmetry in art. Having been drawn towards several shapes and geometrically organized patterns, I sought to put a name to this style of art. I saw a video on the internet that labeled these patterns as “Sacred Geometry”. The title enthralled me, and the concept of what exactly made this geometry so sacred further consumed me.

It became apparent to me before long that I had a new silent obsession. Silent, mostly because the people of my immediate circle considered me abnormal for pouring so much interest and attention to this topic, and an obsession because there was truly no other accurate word for the depth in which this topic fascinated me. To learn that such great and profound minds as Pythagoras, Da Vinci, Carl Jung, Einstein, Nicholai Tesla, and many, many others had a similar interest in the exploration of this topic only served to cement my belief that there was something here that went far beyond the complex play of shapes and patterns. The most profound thing that I heard in my digging through material about this topic was the idea that you can only learn a miniscule amount by reading about these things. In order to really understand the depths of what Sacred Geometry has to offer, you have to draw it for yourself. This is what the greats had done, so It’s what I set out to do.

I observed the patterns of creation used by others for time out of mind, and did my best to replicate them. Years of dabble and play lead me to create a more fool proof method of creation and exploration that felt natural and was easily replicable by others. It was at the time working at the resort that I was offered and opportunity to expand and share these methods that I had developed as an interactive art class, which was met with great popularity and success. I was quite honestly blown away, and my love for teaching art experiences blossomed like a wild rose. Since transitioning into my own business, I have developed several other creative art experiences that allow people to learn very simple methods of crafting mesmerizing art in fun and exciting new ways. It is my love for play in education that I went on to create several non-art experiences designed to re-engage people in the ecstatic play that is (I believe) a more natural form of learning, as well as self exploration. I like to think of it as Educational Entertainment, and in a sheer stroke of boldness, I took after Shakespeare and decided to make up my own word to encapsulate this idea: Edutainment.

The final aspect/element of my passion that I share through my business is rooted in my desire for spiritual growth. I mean this to a very minimal extent for myself, and to a maximal extent for others, primarily those who attend my events. In my experiences participating in Pranic Healing clinics, I learned a very special meditation technique with a vast array of benefits, known as the Meditation on Twin Hearts. It is a very powerful tool aimed at rapidly achieving “illumination” or “spiritual upliftment” in a relatively short amount of time, by turning the person participating in the meditation into a conduit for healing and blessing the entire Earth. I learned this meditation, and saw for myself its powerful healing and enlightening potential, and since it was organized universally, that is to say not belonging to any particular religion or school of thought, but adaptable and applicable by all people, and I decided this is a tool that I could share to uplift the lives of many people. I use this, and several other beneficial meditations to proceed my events, in order to heal and uplift the people in attendance to a higher level of consciousness.

All of these experiences, which are the driving force of my passion, swam around in independent areas of my life, seeking greater expression. It was in 2020 that I had the vision and the inspiration to unify them into a single enterprise aimed at healing, entertaining and uplifting the masses. And since this was an outward expression of the compulsive whispers in my heart, I wanted to give it a name that represents such. After lots and lots of deliberation, I decided to call it what it is: Healing, Edutainment, and Art, and with a little abbreviation magic, it truly became my H.E.ART.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For me, the road has been considerably smooth. If I had known what it was I was trying to build, and where I was going with it years prior, and had poured more considerable time and effort into achieving it, I probably would have stressed and fumbled much more than I did. But that is not what happened. I cannot deny that the entirety of who I am, where I am, and what I have had been wonderful gifts from heavenly forces far greater than myself. For me, it was a matter of continually following the various passions I held tight to, and watching as this vision fell, nearly fully formed, into my life after all the components were properly aligned. That is to say that I was already a seasoned healer, an experienced art teacher, entertainment coordinator and meditation leader before the vision of their unification in a mobile service came to me. It’s like independently growing potted flowers, and then waking up one day and walking outside to find a perfect patch of soil waiting to become a garden. You don’t have to do all the work of creating from scratch, just transfer what you already have cultivated into something better. That’s what it has been like for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a healer, in the form of Massage Therapy, Pranic Healing, and aquatic bodywork, and I offer educational entertainment in the form of art and creative play.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I am continuing to grow this business as an extension of my passions for my children. I have 3 daughters, and a son on the way, and beyond a desire to feed, clothe, and modestly pamper them, I need them to see their father doing what he loves in life more than anything else. To understand that with time, dedication, and the boldness to follow their heart, they can turn their dreams into a reality, and prosper from it. And on top of that, by creating a business that encourages spiritual growth, creative exploration, and physical development that they can be a part of as they grow, I am also hoping to plant these important seeds in them, so that they may bloom and bare beautiful fruits that will benefit them and others in the future.
