Life & Work with Annie Dulin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie Dulin.

Hi Annie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always worked in the health and beauty industry, but after many years working as a patient care coordinator for plastic and cosmetic surgeons I decided I wanted to start my own business and create my own schedule. It allowed me to travel more and spend more time with my kids.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was certainly difficult at first to leave a full-time job and not have a consistent income but it was all worth it to get where I am today. After months and months of training and finding the right location for my office it all came together. Covid also allowed me to have more free time and continued advanced training.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Having a background in arts definitely helped with being a permanent makeup and also a tattoo artist.

When I started doing permanent makeup, a friend asked me if I could also tattoo her. I had never done an actual tattoo/art on someone but decided to give it a try and it turned out great. I am now just as busy being a tattoo artist as I am doing permanent makeup.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Being from and growing up in Canada, I can certainly say that living in Scottsdale AZ has been amazing for me. The weather is like nowhere else. If I miss the snow or skiing I can just drive up north and get my “cold fix”.
