Life & Work with Alexis Sovich of Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Sovich

Hi Alexis , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A true Arizona native, I was born & raised in Ahwatukee. I began my journey in interior design nine years ago, when my now fiance was transitioning his own career from commercial to residential real estate. At the time, Scottsdale was still widely considered to be a hidden gem. Seeing the potential in the future of Scottsdale, I knew it was destined for growth. Me being the natural born creative, always having a sense for design mixed with his real estate experience, we became a dynamic duo. At the time, the short term rental market in Scottsdale, as well as Air BnB was widely untapped, making it an ideal time to get in the market & have an edge on future competition. 9 successful years later, I am co owner of our boutique short term rental company, Travitude based primarily out of Oldtown Scottsdale where we design, manage, and remodel properties from both in and out of state investors. The design aspect is truly important because it’s tough competition, efficiency matters & the goal with elevated interior design is to attract more guests and maximize revenue. Currently our portfolio consists of a fleet of 30+ vacation rentals with over 3,000 reviews hosting guests from all over the nation. After many years of success and experience my passion for design expanded beyond interior design. I started to explore the broader field of design, which eventually led me into the realm of event planning and design. This transition was a natural progression as it allowed me to apply my skills in creating beautiful spaces to the dynamic and creative world of events. Today, I specialize in both interior design as well as event design and planning, where I bring together my background in interior design and my love for creating memorable experiences. From corporate events to weddings and special celebrations, I enjoy the challenge of transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences. My journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and I look forward to continuing to blend design and event planning to create unforgettable moments for my clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Early on, I faced the challenge of breaking into the industry and establishing my reputation while working with vacation rentals and investors. Balancing creativity with client expectations was also a learning curve. Transitioning to event planning and design brought new challenges, such as mastering logistics and handling the pressure of live events. However, each struggle has taught me valuable lessons and made me more resilient and versatile in my career.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The continued success of Travitude has allowed me to primarily focus on my latest venture, Az The Valut which is my newest company, pertaining to event design, planning and rentals. Az The Vault is a true passion project of mine because it’s encompass me as an artist and my ability to deliver for clients. Somewhat symbolizing the phoenix, rising out of the ashes symbolizes me as a creator & artist, endlessly creating myself through my work from one project to the next, challenging my creative abilities.

I am most known for over the top, one of a kind, unique & unforgettable events, either through design itself or curated event entertainment.

I am most proud of my ability to continue to find new and innovative ways to be creative and have that shine through unique events for my clients.

What separates me from others is I truly turn visions into reality, making unforgettable, everlasting memories and I am extremely passionate in everything I do.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
During the Covid-19 crisis was when I solely had Travitide. I learned during the Covid crisis that adapting is just as important as preparation and the importance of smooth flowing operations of things like maids for example to ensure guests remain as safe as possible from one check in/check out to the next.
