Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Wynne
Hi Adam, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a deep love for visual storytelling and art. I went to film school in college, and I’ve always looked for ways to bring creativity into my career. Before I got into real estate photography, I created a streeetwear Brand called Socii, which was an incredible learning experience. But as exciting as it was, I found that it’s a tough industry to be profitable in.
Looking back, one of my favorite parts of that time wasn’t actually designing the clothes—it was the photography. I loved taking pictures of the models wearing my designs and finding unique, scenic spots around Minneapolis to capture the right vibe for each shoot. That’s when I realized photography was something I wanted to pursue on a deeper level. After some exploration, I decided that real estate photography would be a perfect way to combine my passion for imagery with a sustainable business model. I launched Arthur & Allen, named after my two sons, and I’m now working to build my business in the Greater Phoenix area. Recently, I also earned my drone license and plan to add drone photography and video tours to my catalog soon. These new services will help me showcase properties from fresh perspectives, adding even more value to my clients. It’s an exciting time to be building Arthur & Allen, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not!—starting any business comes with its own set of challenges, and I don’t think building a business is ever a smooth road. If someone tells you it is, they’re lying. There are so many aspects to consider, from the paperwork to the marketing to the actual product. When you’re a one-man show, there’s a lot of learning to do along the way.
When I launched Arthur & Allen, I was building my client base from scratch. In a field as competitive as real estate photography, especially in a market like Phoenix, it takes time to stand out and earn trust. I offer a lot of free shoots to build my portfolio, which is necessary but challenging, as it means putting in a lot of hours without immediate income.
One of the biggest struggles has been balancing the creative side of photography with the demands of running a business. Photography has always been my passion, but I’ve had to learn a lot about marketing, customer relations, and the logistical side of entrepreneurship. Understanding that this is ultimately a customer service business has been key—I focus as much on making the process smooth for my clients as I do on taking quality photos.
Investing in new skills and equipment has also been a challenge. Each hurdle has been a learning experience, and I’m grateful for them because they’ve helped me build a stronger foundation for my business.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in real estate photography, capturing properties in a way that highlights their unique features and appeals to potential buyers. My work focuses on creating visuals that tell a story about each home, whether it’s a cozy Airbnb or a luxurious mansion. One of the key aspects that sets me apart is my commitment to exceptional customer service. I believe that the experience clients have is just as important as the final images. I strive to make the process smooth and enjoyable for everyone I work with, ensuring that their needs are met from start to finish.
I’m particularly proud of a successful twilight shoot I did for a local chef-driven Bed & Breakfast called The Concept. The photos turned out beautifully, and they ended up using some of them for a few magazine ads. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of great photography to elevate a property’s appeal.
Every home has its own character, and I take the time to understand what makes each listing special. Ultimately, I aim to provide more than just beautiful images; I want to create a seamless experience that leaves a lasting impression. I’m excited to grow my skills and continuously find new ways to serve my clients and elevate their listings.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as a combination of personal fulfillment and the positive impact I can create through my work. For me, it’s not just about financial gain, although that’s certainly important for sustainability; it’s also about building meaningful relationships with my clients and helping them achieve their goals. When a client is thrilled with the photos I deliver, or in the future when I hear my work contributed to a property selling quickly, that’s going to be a huge win for me.
On a personal level, I find success in creating a loving environment for my children and setting them up for success. I want them to see that hard work and passion can lead to fulfilling outcomes. Ultimately, I believe that success is a journey rather than a destination. Each step I take, each client I serve, and each lesson I learn contributes to my overall growth and satisfaction in both my personal and professional life.
