Life & Work with Abigail Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Davis. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Couturier, Artist, and Designer Abigail Davis founded PHENOM Couture in August of 2022 after graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design in May of 2022. Since Abigail was in high school, (2014-2018) she began creating couture garments for evening wear events for friends and clientele. After multiple proms and homecoming gowns, Abigail pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design at Arizona State University. In 2018, Abigail began her studies at Arizona State University and accelerated early in the patternmaking and fashion design path. She completed three different internships throughout her time at ASU as well as earned several accolades throughout her studies. In 2022, her senior year capstone collection, PHENOM SS23, hit the runway and closed the show along with her fellow peer designers. Four months after graduation PHENOM Couture officially opened its doors in Anthem, Arizona offering Couture Fashion and Alteration Services. PHENOM Couture Address: 3434 W. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was not a very smooth road in bringing PHENOM Couture to fruition. My family and I experienced a house fire in Idaho in the middle of winter that completely changed the course of our lives in 2011. After the fire, we decided as a family to leave Idaho and move to Anthem, Arizona.

Moving to Arizona was the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, it was a devastating event that could have destroyed us, but instead, we chose to be thankful, look on the bright side, and have faith that everything is always working out for us. This was just a singular bump in the long road of the creation of PHENOM Couture, but hardship is inevitable, and it is through those hardships that your character is made. I attribute my strength and successes all to my family’s constant support and unconditional love, I truly could not have done it without them.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a fashion designer and artist, I specialize in evening wear/bridal Couture Fashion, meaning a fashion designer who manufactures and sells clothes that have been tailored to a client’s specific requirements and measurements. I am proud of all of my work, but I am most proud of the Couture garment I am currently working on that will be PHENOM Couture’s debut on the red carpet at the 76th Annual Tony Awards on June 11th, 2023!

What sets PHENOM Couture apart is our all-embracing inclusive mission that dresses everybody; we believe there is something special within everyone and through embracing your inner PHENOM we strive to create wearable art that exudes the confidence of each of our phenomenal clients.

What are your plans for the future?
PHENOM has great plans and is very excited about the future! PHENOM Couture remains with one new season every year that will be available for couture order online later this year, featuring the custom couture garments we are creating with our clientele currently, as well as making our first red carpet debut this year at the Tony Awards this June!

The addition coming this year is the launch of PHENOM Athletics. I am a Powerlifter as well as a Fashion Designer and I represented ASU at two national meets during my four years with ASU Powerlifting.
