Today we’d like to introduce you to Tenea Hudson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tenea. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Arizona without thinking and after a bad breakup, in 2016. Upon getting here, I went to exactly what I knew best: a regular job and place to stay. One day, John Casablanca’s learning center called me for an audition and I thought they were a scam; but I went anyway. After the audition, I was accepted into their 30 weeks TV/Print program. Right before graduating in September, I landed my first booking: A local play. From there, my career has grown each week and each month.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think this industry would ever just be a smooth road. I’ve faced some small challenges here and there. My biggest challenge thus far has been myself! My advice to other women is to always believe in yourself and be your biggest cheerleader.
Please tell us about your business.
I am an actress and curvy/plus model. At this time, I don’t specialize in anything specific but my specialty is being determined, dedicated and open in this industry. I am most proud of my progress, given that I’ve only been professionally modeling and acting since September. What sets me apart from other’s is my professionalism, unique look, communication and strong slayage on the runway.
Who have you been inspired by?
The women that have inspired me through their support, honesty, mentoring, understanding and unconditional love is Anita Andrews, my mom. Within the industry, I’m inspired by Shannon Philips and Kelyne Noel because they both give me life on the runway, they are accomplished and they support my career.
