Life and Work with Susie Munoz

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story…..
I started my Beauty Instagram page about four years ago. Back then, there was no such thing as “Influencers”. It was just a group of women connecting with each other for the love of makeup, sharing advice, makeup sales and introducing each other to new brands.

As the beauty community grew, so did influencers/bloggers. I love introducing my audience to a variety of brands, sharing beauty advice and simply talking with them on a daily basis.

The only struggle I’ve come across is the Instagram Algorithm! It’s been really hurting influencers. Limiting our reach and making it difficult for us to engage and connect with our audience.

My advice for anyone starting out is not to give up. Your potential is endless with so many opportunities, just do what you love to do. The outcome might surprise you. I never planned to be an “influencer”. Now I get to work with so many amazing companies, and I couldn’t be any happier!

I am a Beauty Influencer. I introduce a variety  of products to my audience from Makeup, Accessories, Skincare and more.

I photograph, edit and promote companies by sharing an Instagram post of a new product or sale campaigns they might be running.

I’m most proud of being able to work with some of the most amazing companies such as Too faced, Pixi Beauty, COVERGIRL, Urban Decay and many more. Also watching/helping smaller indie brands that people may not be familiar with, grow in their success.

Well, my inspiration comes from some of the women I have met on Instagram! some true #GirlBosses from my good friends Stephanie Lewis and Tippy Wyatt. Steph created her own line of makeup brushes Slmissglambeauty and Tippy who owns Icona Lashes. Their accomplishments in the beauty community have really influenced and inspired me to keep dreaming.

 It’s incredible how big and inspiring the beauty community can be, filled with such uplifting positive role models. Surrounding myself with women like them, is what I love the most!
