Today we’d like to introduce you to Monika George.

Monika, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As soon as I learned to read, I was borrowing books from my mom’s extensive library. Her books were how I discovered astrology, auras, energy healing, and so much more. She was always taking me along to psychic fairs, teaching me about crystals and sound healing, and empowering me to connect with my intuition. The knowledge my mom passed onto me encouraged and informed my own magic. When I was 16, my mom bought me my first tarot deck and I started slowly teaching myself by reading for friends or myself. This went on for a decade before I decided to start Cosmic Hour. Once I decided to go all in, it became obvious how inevitable this path was for me, I love providing people with tough-love tarot readings, inspiring them to take action, or showing them the path to self-discovery that comes with astrology. Fun fact: my great grandmother was known for her card readings in her village in Poland, simply knowing this makes me feel more connected to her and to my ancestral magic. Today, I am expanding Cosmic Hour to include Aura Photography and working on creating my own tarot deck while also providing tarot readings, sound healing, and astrology workshops.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There was a lot of fear to get over in order to get to where I am. Fear of failure. Fear I wouldn’t be good enough. Fear I would have nothing of value to contribute in this field that hasn’t already been done. I think what helps is realizing no one is you and that is your power. We all have something unique to contribute, don’t let anyone dim your light and above all, trust your intuition.

Please tell us about Cosmic Hour.
Cosmic Hour provides tarot readings, aura photography, sound healing, and astrological insights. We are known for our events around Phoenix as well as providing private or small group sessions. My 3-card tarot readings highlight your aura at the present moment, the energy you have to work with, and a message from the universe. I love to use my time with clients to teach them rituals and visualizations for manifestation, protection, and more. Our sound healings are done using a combination of traditional Tibetan singing bowls and synthesizers. I am proud of being local to Phoenix and providing our services to the community here and helping them connect with their spirituality.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
I would say never give up, trust your intuition, and remember as women we are more powerful when we empower each other, so lift each other up on the way to the top.
