Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa King.
Lisa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a pharmacist and my sister, Lauren Daniels, is a breast cancer survivor and life coach. Although we have different backgrounds, we are very aligned with our beliefs on having positive thoughts and moving forward towards reaching our goals.
We both knew we had a book in us, we wanted to share everything that we learned from our own past difficult situations. When Lauren was going through her breast cancer diagnosis, I was going through a trying time in my own family with the economic downturn of 2008. I delved into self-development and got through this time even stronger and more positive than when I entered this situation.
We wanted to share with others how you can change your own life without being overwhelmed by that change. Thus, Tiny Life Changes was born.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I can pleasantly say that writing Tiny Life Changes was a really smooth journey! We had a wonderful publisher who guided us along the way. We took our own advice and worked on the book over about the course of a year one day and one step at a time! We worked on ideas and creating content for the book one step at a time and just kept moving forward.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Tiny Life Changes – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What sets Tiny Life Changes apart from other self-improvement books is the fact that it is such an easy read! We are all about simplifying change and that was also the case with the book. We didn’t want our readers to be overwhelmed by thinking they had to read a long book that required them to make many changes. It is all about making a decision to change and taking the next best step. Tiny changes made daily lead to big results when it comes to accomplishing goals and dreams!
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
As Lauren and I are sisters, we were raised to keep moving forward and to stay strong no matter what the obstacle is in front of us. Our mother is the strongest lady we know. She is a two-time breast cancer survivor and stays positive and keeps moving forward with living life to the fullest!
