Life and Work with Kylee Danae

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylee Danae.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kylee. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a 25 ear old Phoenix-based hair stylist. I’ve been doing hair for 7 years total, 4 years professionally. I went to beauty school while in high school and graduated before graduating high school. I’ve worked in two prior salons before landing my own suite, Quartz Hair Lounge, inside Salon Boutique. It’s been my dream to be my own boss and really let my creativity flow freely and I finally get to do that now!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve definitely struggled to find my place in this industry. I’ve bounced between a couple salons until I found what worked for me. My biggest piece of advice would be, if doing something you love starts to become toxic you’re allowed to leave. You’re allowed to take charge of your situation and make it better. I suffered for 2 years in a salon because I felt like I would never find anywhere better and it simply wasn’t true. Do what makes you happy and what’s going to make you proud every day. It’s never easy but the end result is worth it.

Please tell us about Kylee Danae Hair.
I’m a hairstylist specializing in creative colors, balayage, and blondes. I’m most known for my wildly colorful hair on both myself and my clientele. One thing I’m very proud of is the way I formulate my color. All of my clients have very customized colors and their fade out is always gorgeous. I feel that’s what truly sets me apart.
