Life and Work with Jessica Arrowsmith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Arrowsmith.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Mortgage banking definitely found me. I believed very early on that I would one day become a doctor. I wanted to care for those in need and make a difference. With a total of 17 years in the banking/lending world, I have finally realized that my passion for helping others, meant more than medicine. That this need to help others, to make them happy was also why I have been so successful at growing a business that is based solely on relationship building. Anyone can originate a loan application. But it takes a truly compassionate and knowledgeable person to bring a home buyer through the largest investment (physically and emotionally) of their lives.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The journey to and through continued success in business requires continual efforts, some sacrifices and a lot of tears. Most ladies can attest to the tears shed in a business building process. Ha. We, women, tend to wear our hearts on our sleeves, to bare everything, to give our all and leave little to nothing for ourselves. Because we want others to know we care. Because tearing others down for our success just is not an option.

And if I could give women advice throughout their own journey, it would be to remember to be gracious. To show yourself as much grace and you give others. To remember to surround yourselves with those who want more collaboration than competition. Because with over 7 billion people in this world, there is plenty of enough business for everyone.

For those of you who do not know me, I am first a wife. A mother of 4 incredible children and a mortgage lender.

Some clock out and walk away from their job duties each afternoon and head home. I always take my work home with me. I am available around the clock for my clients and I treat them as if they are family. Buying a home, still and always will be the American Dream. We all have hopes of being a homeowner. We all want to wear that badge of pride when we are able to host Thanksgiving Dinner at our own dining room table. So, I make it a priority to help each and every one of my clients finds a way to make home buying a dream.
