Life and Work with Audrey (Morgan) Cash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey (Morgan) Cash.

Audrey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started the YouTube channel I have now, Morgan Cash, about two years ago, mostly just to have a place to let out my thoughts. I actually started my first YouTube when I was a sophomore in high school but, I took it down pretty quickly because I was afraid of people I went to school with making fun of me. I started my blog a little under two years ago, because I was really invested in the health and wellness space and wanted another place to voice my opinions. Now, I like to use my YouTube as more of a creative outlet and my blog as a place for health and wellness, usually to start a conversation about eating disorders, self love, mental health I want my blog to be a safe place to talk about all of that.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been tough for me to try and breakthrough in the blogging and YouTube industry just because it is such a saturated market, everyone is doing it. I love to make videos and write blog posts so much but sometimes, it can be hard when you just watch people blow up and wonder what you’re doing wrong, why you haven’t gained an audience. This whole thing is a huge learning process, there is no one really to tell you what to do to be successful because I don’t think there’s really a right or wrong way to go about this online industry. I think my biggest piece of advice to anyone starting out is to keep making videos and keep posting on your blog because its something you like to do. I am a firm believer that the views and the success will come as long as you put in the work and you genuinely enjoy creating the things you are creating.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with adashofcash.com – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
On my blog, I like to focus a lot on health and wellness, talking about mental health, self care, exercise, you name it and I will talk about it. I want my blog to be a positive space for women, they get online and can find some suggestions that may hep them in their life or maybe they just feel a little less alone. I think that may be what makes my blog different form others is because I’m not just recommending my favorite face masks or showing you my outfits I just talk to the people reading like they are my friends. As far as my YouTube goes, I just post whatever I am feeling, I have really been enjoying vlogging lately because I get to have a little bit of fun with the editing and it shows a little more of my personality but I still love to film a good sit down video. My YouTube is basically a place for me to just express myself, I really like making videos in whatever format that may be, a goofy vlog, a travel video, a sit down video, I just like making them. I don’t necessarily have one style that I stick to because I think I’m still learning what works best for me.

Who have you been inspired by?
I get a lot of inspiration from other creators online like Katie Dalebout, Marissa Lace and Whitney Simmons. They all create very different things but they all inspire me to go after what I want, whatever that may be.
For my day to day life, though my mom is a huge inspiration, she just is constantly reminding me to do what’s best for me, that I am in control of the decisions I am making and I can either make decisions that I am happy with or ones that don’t feel so right. My friends also have a huge impact on my life, they are just incredibly kind and supportive people and I learn a lot from them in that way.
