Nicole Demas shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Nicole, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that it’s all glamorous lunches, driving nice cars, and open houses where buyers and sellers flood in and decide to work with you, brokerages provide you with leads, and you just cash checks. In reality, it’s a lot of behind the scenes work involving constant communication, negotiations, problem solving, therapy sessions, showing your worth, and anticipating issues before they happen. My job is equally about building relationships and providing guidance as it is about sales, and most of the work happens well before and after the transaction closes.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Nicole Diana, though in real estate I market under my maiden name, Demas. I’m a real estate professional passionate about helping clients navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. I built my brand on connection, trust, authenticity, and a personalized approach. I truly get to know my clients so I can guide them with confidence and care. My background, local expertise, and intuitive understanding of people help me anticipate needs and smooth out challenges before they become problems. Right now I’m focused on serving clients in Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area, from luxury listings to first time buyers, and building long term relationships through clear and consistent communication.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment that truly shaped how I see the world was when my mom passed away. Losing her had a profound impact on me, not just because of the pain, but because it taught me how precious and fragile life really is. It showed me the importance of cherishing every connection, being fully present, and approaching every moment with kindness and gratitude. Her passing deepened my empathy and strengthened my desire to support others through life’s biggest transitions, understanding that everyone handles challenges differently. I try to put myself in their shoes and see things from their perspective. It’s a perspective I carry with me every day, in both my personal life and my work, reminding me that behind every transaction is a person with a story, emotions, and dreams that deserve to be honored.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to stop doubting and start owning her power. Nobody’s coming to save you, so get out there and make your own way. You’ve got what it takes to crush every challenge, so don’t hold back or apologize for being fierce.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Authenticity, always. It’s non negotiable for me. In my world, whether I’m negotiating a deal or having coffee with a friend, I show up as my real self and I expect the same from others. When you lead with honesty and stay true to who you are, people trust you, respect you, and want to work with you. That’s the kind of energy I protect at all costs.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say she was the real deal. That I loved big, worked hard, and had a laugh that could fill a room. That I showed up for people when it mattered most, told the truth even when it wasn’t easy, and maybe had a little too much fun along the way. I want my story to be about living fully, loving fiercely, and never pretending to be anything I’m not.
