Hi Michele, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
“Three years into my PMU journey and after many courses, learning from top industry leaders and their pro tips has been the most impactful yet-helping me refine my skills in ways that truly elevate my work.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Michele, Owner of Michele Q Permanent Makeup in Scottsdale, Az. My background originally started 30 years ago as a surgical assistant in Plastic Surgery—which continues to shape my precision and artistry. I specialize in natural looking permanent makeup using vegan and hypoallergenic pigments. I love to do brows, eyeliner, Lip blush and all camouflage. My true focus is enhancing confidence at every age, and I’m currently expanding into more restorative 3-D areola tattooing to support breast cancer survivors with compassion and care.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Probably within the last two years when a client walks in with zero confidence, because they can no longer draw their brows on equally or so frustrated with trying to cover a scar. Some clients have developed a tremor over the years, or their vision does not allow them to see well enough to apply their makeup. When I hand them the mirror and I see tears of joy followed by the biggest smile and they are hugging me in disbelief. This a special moment knowing that I am empowering women with restorative permanent makeup and boosting self confidence everyday.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?

When I was asked to purchase an existing permanent makeup business formally kown as Sally Hayes permanent makeup business in Scottsdale, Az. Sally Hayes previously started this business 35 years ago so, I had some big shoes to fill. In addition, I was stepping away from a full time career as a surgical assistant.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
First and foremost, they have made a T-Shirt at some of our parties for me as “miss Congeniality”,
I get along with everyone. Most say who work with me it is my integrity and calming personality and always willing to help.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Over the years and based on all my work reviews and kind words from coworkers and close friends.

I am Loyal, patient, strong, compassionate and always helpful, never stop learning because the industry is forever changing whether it is permanent makeup or surgical education (kind of a nerd like that) very picky about my work.
