Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Chris Dunham of Phoennix

We recently had the chance to connect with Chris Dunham and have shared our conversation below.

Chris, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Rise & Shine. 32 oz of water, 1.5 mile walk. Coffee then I take care of my grandson until 8am, take him to school. Then off to work out for an hour to kick my own ass. then off with my day

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Chris Dunham, better known in Arizona as The Real Estate Guy. For over 25 years, I’ve helped buyers and sellers navigate the housing market with a mix of deep industry knowledge, creative problem-solving, and a personal touch. My brand is built on consistency—I’m the agent you work with from the first conversation to the closing table, no hand-offs or disappearing acts.

Beyond my real estate career, I’ve spent years connecting with people through media. I’ve hosted “Real Talk USA with The Real Estate Guy” on iHeart Radio, produced over 100 episodes of “Good News Arizona,” and now co-host The Chris and Mike Show, blending humor, music, and real-life stories. My background as a professional musician and published author adds a unique storytelling edge to how I market homes and build relationships.

What makes me different is that I treat every client like they’re the only one I have, while bringing an energy and authenticity that make the process memorable. Right now, I’m expanding my reach through video, social media, and podcasting—sharing market insights, behind-the-scenes moments, and even a laugh or two—because real estate is as

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?

This can be applied to many aspects of life, but for me, I came to a crossroads with my sobriety, had the choice to stop at a bar and drink the “situation” away, or go home, and talk it out with my wife (wasn’t a marriage issue- family member was struggling with Meth/Heroin).

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Not always.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If immortality were real, what would you build?
Energy systems, as the world cannot function with power.
