Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Cecilia Berkley

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Cecilia Berkley . Check out our conversation below.

Cecilia , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are sacred—a gentle awakening for both body and soul. I begin with a refreshing shower; it’s part of my ritual to take one at night and another in the morning. The morning shower helps me feel renewed, centered, and ready to welcome the day with clarity.

Afterward, I prepare my warm morning tonic—usually apple cider vinegar with “the mother,” though sometimes I’ll switch to warm water with fresh lemon or lime. I drink it slowly, on an empty stomach, as I do my makeup. It’s a simple but grounding moment of care that helps me ease into the day mindfully.

Before leaving home, I take time for prayer and gratitude—thanking God for another day, for life itself, and for the chance to bring light and positive energy into my work. Then, I head to my home away from home—my sanctuary, my spa, my business—where I pour my heart into creating beauty, peace, and healing for others.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Cecilia Berkley, founder of Cecilia Berkley Holistic Spa and Corazón Organic Beauty. My work is a reflection of timeless beauty, rooted in harmony, purity, and feminine grace. I have dedicated my life to helping women reconnect with their natural radiance—inside and out—through holistic skincare, intentional rituals, and mindful living.

At my spa, I have created a sanctuary where every detail evokes serenity, elegance, and soul nourishment. Through Corazón Organic Beauty, I extend that experience into daily life with consciously crafted, skin-superfood formulations made to honor the body and awaken the spirit.

My purpose is to remind women that beauty is not something to chase—it is something to remember. It lives in presence, self-respect, and the quiet confidence of a woman who knows her worth.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world spoke its expectations, I was a dreamer—wild, gentle, and certain of my light. I built castles in my mind and believed I could touch the sky. I lived in a world of imagination where limits didn’t exist, where I felt both tender and powerful, guided by wonder and purpose.

Life, of course, reshaped me—through loss, change, and seasons of forgetting. But beneath it all, the little girl who dreamed never disappeared. I searched for her, and I found her again. She is the reason I rise today—the woman who honors her softness and her strength, who still believes in beauty, in light, and in the power of dreams that never die.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
There was a time when I felt everything within me was breaking—my body, my mind, my spirit. I was exhausted from holding it all together, trying to be strong when life was asking me to surrender. Nothing seemed to work. I felt I was losing myself. But in that stillness, when everything fell apart, I began to listen.

The breaking was not the end—it was the invitation. It was life asking me to slow down, to stop running, and to meet my pain with honesty and tenderness. Healing did not come quickly; it came through years of reflection, tears, silence, and prayer. I had to go deep, not to fix myself, but to cleanse my heart.

I refused to cover my wounds with illusions. I wanted to feel whole—not just appear whole. And it was through this deep heart work that Corazón was born. Corazón, which means heart, became the name of my brand because it represents the very place where I was restored. I learned that true healing is not about erasing pain—it is about transforming it into love, compassion, and wisdom.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what matters most to me is God and family. God is the center of my life—the source of my strength, clarity, and purpose. Through Him, I’ve learned how to love deeply and live with harmony. Family is my heart; unity within it means everything to me. I believe in loving with devotion, in giving with sincerity, and in keeping my circle small but meaningful—rooted in faith, truth, and unconditional love.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me for how I made them feel. That in my presence, they felt seen, loved, and cared for. That my spaces—whether my home, my spa, or a simple moment of conversation—were places where hearts could rest and souls could breathe.

I want the story told about me to be one of love expressed through intention—how I honored others with my time, my heart, and my attention. That I lived with purpose and grace, that my faith guided everything I did, and that my love was felt deeply and sincerely.

If people remember me as a woman who loved wholeheartedly and gave from the soul, then my story will have been complete.
