We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brittini Gray. Check out our conversation below.
Brittini, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Something that has been bringing me so much joy outside of work is my niece. She truly is the light of my life. Watching her grow, learn, and discover new things has been an amazing experience. It feels like she’s growing so fast, and I cherish every moment I get to spend with her. Whenever I have the chance, I make it a priority to visit her, as those moments are some of the most special to me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
With over 18 years in the cosmetology industry, I’ve built a career rooted in passion, creativity, and a deep love for helping people look and feel their best. I specialize in extensions, curly hair, vivids, and blonding—transforming hair while having fun doing what I love.
In addition to being a stylist, I proudly serve as a Manager and Salon Growth Manager at Arizona Hair Co. This dual role is unique to our company and allows me to lead with both creativity and strategy. As a manager, I’m dedicated to supporting and growing our team, creating a positive salon culture, and mentoring fellow stylists to reach their full potential.
I’ve always known I was destined for big things, and working at Arizona Hair Co has opened the doors to incredible opportunities. From leading teams to representing the salon at community events like Glendale Glitters and local Pride celebrations, I’m passionate about making a difference both behind the chair and in the industry—and there’s so much more to come.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I’ve been fortunate to have incredibly supportive parents who always saw me for who I truly am and encouraged me to be the best version of myself. They gave me every opportunity to succeed in life, and when I fell short, they were there to lift me up, push me forward, and help me recognize where I could grow. Their belief in me has been a driving force behind my passion, work ethic, and commitment to excellence in everything I do.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could speak to my younger self, I would tell her to never let the opinions of others define her. The future you is doing an amazing job—keep going, and trust the journey. I would remind her that she’s already on the right path, and all she needs to do is continue being true to herself. You’re doing great, just keep being you.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
One person I deeply admire for their character is the owner of our company. She has this incredible ability to see the good in everything—and I often joke that I wonder if she wakes up to rainbows and butterflies every day! Her positive outlook and genuine nature have taught me so much, especially about believing in myself. Despite being an owner, she never flaunts her power, instead leading with humility and grace. Because of her support and vision, I’ve had countless opportunities to grow and express myself more fully in my career, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m with my family. There’s no pressure to impress anyone or pitch myself—it’s just pure, authentic connection. I can talk to them about anything, and the laughter that fills the room when we’re together is priceless. They’re my safe space, where I can truly be myself, and that’s something I cherish deeply.
