Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ann Noder of Chandler

We recently had the chance to connect with Ann Noder and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Ann, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
No two days are ever the same, which is one of the things I love most about running Pitch PR. My time is focused on strategy with our amazing team, and ensuring we’re delivering meaningful, high-impact editorial opportunities for our clients. I’m constantly scanning headlines and staying attuned to what the media is covering so we can be nimble and leverage timely stories to insert our clients’ voices. And of course, there’s the relentless pitching. We are committed to building relationships with journalists and finding the right angles to make sure our clients shine. My days are always fast-paced, creative, and challenging – in all the good ways!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Ann Noder, founder and CEO of Pitch Public Relations (Pitch PR). We’re a boutique agency specializing in national media relations, and our focus is simple but powerful: connecting innovative brands with meaningful editorial coverage that moves the needle. We take a hands-on, strategy-driven approach to every client, crafting stories that resonate. What makes Pitch PR truly unique is our relentless focus on results. Right now, we’re working with a wide range of companies, from emerging startups to established brands and large companies, across an array of industries from healthcare to financial technology to AI, education and more. We help our clients stand out in an increasingly crowded media landscape.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
100% my mother. She was always my biggest cheerleader in life. Having her see me as nothing but capable, accomplished, strong, hard-working, and successful shaped me in every possible way. My mom is the biggest influence of my life. I feel so lucky to have had her unconditional, loving support. She passed away in 2021 but her voice is still with me every day, guiding and motivating me.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Sure, but that passes. Being an entrepreneur is like riding a roller coaster — there are incredible highs and inevitable lows. There have absolutely been moments that tested my resolve, but I’ve learned you have to take the downs with the ups. Not every day will feel rewarding, and not every day will feel like an impossible challenge either; the key is understanding that whatever the moment, it’s temporary. That perspective keeps me grounded and motivated to keep going. There’s real joy in pushing through the tough times and tremendous pride in having grown Pitch PR from a solo start-up into a thriving, 20+ person agency.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in PR is that agencies need 90 days to ‘ramp up’ before they can deliver results. Too often, firms hide behind endless meetings and strategy decks instead of actually executing, and it wastes clients’ time and money. It’s an industry standard that is just wrong. At Pitch PR, we’ve flipped the script. We know clients hire us to get media exposure, not to wait for it. We start pitching fast, deliver results fast, and back up our strategy with action. That complete focus toward execution is what sets us apart.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m with my family — my husband, Chris, of 29 years and our two sons, CJ (23) and Joey (21). They are my greatest joy, and when the four of us are together, whether we’re traveling, sharing a meal, or just enjoying each other’s company, I feel completely fulfilled and truly myself. Those moments remind me what really matters in life, and give me a deep sense of calm and contentment.
