So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a lover of beauty… everything that involves the makeup and beauty world. I been doing makeup for 9 years and worked for cosmetic lines. Now, I offer my love for makeup skills to the ladies all over Phoenix and around the Valley.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Is been a fun journey for sure! You never stop learning. Building relationships and understanding girls needs and personalities is a huge part of it! I love creating beautiful makeup!

I specialize in beauty makeup. For any special event. My freelance clientele is growing since I spend a lot of time working in management for a cosmetic line. I was also doing makeup, but I was still getting experience to eventually have my own business. I love working with the Spanish speaking community and I was proud to be able to help and provide my knowledge to them. I am super excited to be able to help and be part of many special moments for many girls out there!

Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
I think at first, we all think that there are too many freelance artists doing makeup out there or freelance artist who think that they can do makeup. But it takes more than creating an IG account or business cards. Honestly, the makeup artist is in high demand right now. And we all bring something different to the table. As such an intimate service is all about the connection and the vibe you get with your client.
