Hi Tiyanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been a creative individual with a deep passion for beauty and fashion. After graduating high school during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I took the time to explore different career paths, knowing traditional college wasn’t the right fit for me at that moment. I started with custom orders using a Cricut machine, which led to the creation of my clothing brand, I Am Selfmade, featuring collections from swimwear to streetwear and athleisure.

At the same time, I discovered a love for esthetics and pursued my license, specializing in permanent makeup with a focus on eyebrows. After building my business in Washington, I relocated to Arizona in 2024, expanding my reach and embracing the freedom to travel and showcase both my beauty and fashion brands.

For me, this is more than just a business—it’s a lifestyle I’ve built with dedication and hard work, proving that success is truly self-made.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s no cheat code or blueprint to building a business. I’ve faced challenges in growing my clientele and customer base, learning that expectations don’t always match reality. Not every opportunity means being fully booked or having a day full of sales, but I’ve come to appreciate the process. Every experience is a chance to learn, adapt, and network. Over time, I’ve discovered what truly works for me

We’ve been impressed with Selfmade Esthetics & I Am Selfmade , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I Am Selfmade is more than just a clothing brand—it’s a lifestyle. I created this brand to represent ambition, resilience, and the dedication it takes to build something from the ground up. Our collections include swimwear, streetwear, athleisure, and more, designed for individuals who embrace their individuality and are unapologetically themselves.
What sets I Am Selfmade apart is the message behind it. Every piece reflects the mindset of being one of one, and creating your own path. This isn’t just fashion—it’s a statement of confidence, independence, and perseverance.

Beyond fashion, I’m also an esthetician, specializing in permanent makeup, facials, waxing, and more. My goal is to help people feel confident in their own skin, whether through beauty or personal style.

I’m most proud of how my brand continues to grow while staying true to its purpose. It’s not just about selling clothes or services—it’s about inspiring others to believe in themselves and their journey.
