Inspiring Conversations with Stuart Preston of Cingularis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stuart Preston.

Hi Stuart, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My life is entirely different than it was just over 8 years ago. I run two small businesses, helping other small businesses with their marketing and communications. But you see, a little over 8 years ago, I lost my son to suicide. My reality shifted, affecting everything in my life since then. The most significant difference to me these days is that I am focused on doing what I can to help others in their lives, professionally and personally. I’m not as focused on my own success or on my own goals. Maybe I should be! So, when a client comes to me and needs help with marketing, my focus is doing what I can to help them grow their business. Suppose they are already developing and need better solutions for their phones, internet, and cyber security. In that case, I do what I can to find a solution that helps them in a way that makes financial sense and helps them achieve their business goals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story. Has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I’m convinced that “smooth” isn’t something life offers any of us, not even to those whose lives seem perfect. Just like “normal.” Is there a normal? Running a small business with such a heavy heart and much personal growth is challenging. “Growth,” huh? Change. Mostly unwanted change, but change I’ve had to adapt to and flow along with. And I’d as much as I’d give it all up to have my boy back, the path I’m on is a good one. My struggles have helped me become more compassionate and understanding, which allows me to serve others better. I hope. We’re all in this together.

I specialize in helping multi-location businesses, mostly law firms and healthcare professionals, build a brand, promote their locations, and combine the whole business into one organization with VOIP phones, internet, and cyber security. I have been doing SEO since B.G. Before Google. I have been in Telecommunications since the early 2000s as a sales rep, sales manager, and President’s Award-winning Sales Engineer. I know what will work for my clients, and I make sure it also makes financial sense for them to invest in it. I’m also a certified Sound Meditation practitioner and a Stand-up comedian, and I am here to support grieving people. Ideally, I like to work with businesses and individuals focused on doing good to help them do even better!

What does success mean to you?
Success, while I no longer focus on it, is a win for my clients. When new customers find them, when they create a better communications system or save on expenses, then I win as well. Otherwise, I aim to live here & now, in the moment. When I can do that, it’s a personal and spiritual success for me. I’m hooked.
