Today we’d like to introduce you to Shante’ T. 

Hi Shante’, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in 2000 at the age of 16 when I was in high school. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or be in life. However, growing up I enjoyed being in the beauty shop with my mom and close friend who started doing hair at an early age. So, when I had the opportunity to take up cosmetology in high school, I went for it. Cosmetology school taught me how to take care of myself and gave me a way to escape the bad things going on at home. Unfortunately, I did not complete the program because I was removed from my home by CPS. That was devastating and I didn’t know how to move forward. After that, I took what I learned in cosmetology school to survive on the streets. Ultimately, I got into healthcare but, still felt like that wasn’t my passion. I knew my passion has always been everything beauty. So, I enrolled in a lash course and started doing lashes and loved it. Since then, I have been building my brand and networking. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not always been a smooth road, I went through a lot of obstacles such as, not having enough money to get supplies, not knowing where or how start a lashing course, and no time to put into my business because, I had to take care of home first. Resources such as money, lash courses, and how to start my brand were the hardest to find. I did a lot of research on lashing courses and sacrificed time and money so that I could pay and start the course for eye lashing.

Crazi Lash Beauti Bar is an up-and-coming lash and beauty bar that will provide services such as strip and individual lash extensions, ombre’ eyebrows, and facials. 

Currently, I specialize in classic and hybrid lash extensions and will be adding ombre’ eyebrow services in the next 4 weeks, 

I came up with the name Crazi Lash Beauti Bar because I want my clients to know that Crazi Lash Beauti Bar is beauty beyond waist. I want my business to be known as a non-judgmental, comfortable, fun place to be. A place where you can be yourself, a place where you can be confident in your own skin and body. Eventually, I would like to offer services to all foster teenagers at little to no cost for high school proms, socials, and job interviews. 

Crazi Lash Beauti Bar always have discount prices available. For the month of August, I will offer a 15% discount on lash extension services to all readers who mentions the keyword Voyage when booking.

Yes, I have help with creating my name, finding resources, and getting back into the world of beauty. I have my siblings, best friend, and my lash extension instructor Brittany owner of Caked By B Glam co to thank. They provided me with the courage, resources, and guidance to start and continue my journey no matter how hard and what stage I am in life. Some days I wanted to give up but Brittany would post motivational memes on Instagram or share her story on how she became successful. That gave me the motivation to keep pushing forward. My best friend would let me know consistency is the key and she helped me come up with my business name.
