Hi Jamar and Roshea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Oh Gelato! launched in 2022 by Jamar and Roshea Montford. We are natives of Chicago, IL, and have lived in Arizona since 2019. We decided to start a gelato business because we were inspired by gelato shops when visiting Paris. We created our own concept to launch in sunny Arizona and have plans to open a physical location in the future. Our current goal is to build our brand. Currently, we operate Oh Gelato! on a mobile truck and we attend festivals and events to serve our products.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a new entrepreneur, it hasn’t been a smooth road.
Before the launch of the business, funding was our biggest challenge. Our business was funded through great money management, discipline, and strategy to ensure that we had all the important necessities before launching. Another challenge is learning how to build a brand and connect with new customers.

Oh Gelato! is a mobile gelato business offering unique and tasty flavors serving Metro Arizona. We specialize in authentic gelato ice cream imported from Italy. Customers will experience unique and tasty gelato flavors. We are most proud of our product quality and each customer that has purchased our gelato LOVES IT! Our goal is to provide quality gelato within Metro Arizona at events and festivals.

Success is defined as being happy within. God directs and helps us and He has been the key to our success in life!
