Inspiring Conversations with Kelly Lavelle of Aloe Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Lavelle.

Kelly, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always known how important it is to follow your passion, until one day I realized what I thought was my passion wasn’t.

In my late twenties (In my early twenties I was an aesthetician at a med spa) I was lucky enough to stumble into the senior living industry, absolutely fell in love with it, and because of that, I did quite well. I started to travel A LOT! I was away from home A LOT! And I was miserable.

I started meditating, reciting affirmations, reading all types of metaphysical books, in all attempts to ground myself. Until one day I decided I needed to get back to what I was really passionate about and that was skincare and making people feel fabulous! And what better place to do it than Scottsdale, Arizona!

I spent over a year planning out what I wanted my studio to look like, the skincare line I wanted to carry, what the spa menu would entail! I left my corporate job in March 2020 to open Aloe Beauty and never looked back. I pinch myself every morning, I can’t believe I did it! I pursued my passion and I couldn’t be happier. Plus, every client I see says that I give the best facial they have ever had (this is not a coincidence, this is my true passion coming through).

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Well, opening a spa in March 2020 is a struggle within itself. Not only was I a new business working to build my clientele, the climate of the world created a whole other set of issues. But other than a pandemic getting in the way, things were rather smooth.

As you know, we’re big fans of Aloe Beauty. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I really enjoy hot yoga and hiking, but I don’t know if that would be considered “surprising”. I think my fascination with aliens might surprise some people, I watch any show on tv that has to do with aliens, I’m obsessed! And what better place to live in than Arizona if you love aliens, right?!
