Inspiring Conversations with Jazlyn Muzio of Arizona Pristine Roofing LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazlyn Muzio.

Jazlyn Muzio

Hi Jazlyn; we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I originally had a medical background and was head of the surgical team at a local Ophthalmology office in Scottsdale, AZ. My husband had been in roofing for years, and I had worked with him and his team for years before gain experience. When 2020 hit, and I could not work full-time, we decided to go into business for ourselves. It was a terrifying time, but it was worth the challenges. I dove in and educated myself as much as possible to run a successful business. I obtained my roofing license and hit the ground running. I have cultivated a great team and a roofing business that provides quality work at affordable pricing for our fellow homeowners. The personalization and reliability we provide to our clients sets us apart from any other contractor.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not! There have been many sleepless nights and tears along the way. Some things you cannot learn from a book it is taught through mistakes and experience. I felt the first year was pure excitement, and then year two came, and that’s when I really started to feel bumps—learning about things that need to be thoroughly discussed through contracts to protect your business, coming across unpleasant and unpleasable customers. I am the type that likes organization and perfection; however, I needed to learn when to stop working and allow myself grace with some imperfections. I had to learn not to take certain things so personally and push through the hard days when things just fell apart or didn’t go as planned. That would be the main lesson I can plan as much as I want, and things will still go wrong. Learning how to react to the unplanned is an achievement.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Arizona Pristine Roofing LLC?
We are a local family and woman-owned business here in the valley. We provide roofing services for residential and commercial properties.  We do repairs and replacements. Our attention to detail and personalization with our customers sets us apart. We are an authentic company and not a huge corporation. We are your neighbor. Being a trustworthy contractor is what makes me the most proud. For the most part, everyone wants to do a good job, but it is the reality that mistakes will happen occasionally. You must confront your mistakes, and your client is assured you’ll fix something that wasn’t perfect and didn’t go as planned. Educating my clients is another big one, explaining why we are doing what we are doing, not just selling to make a profit. My team will address actual issues, and then we can make other recommendations based on our evaluations. My intention at heart is to help and fix what is wrong. Your roof is an important component of your home, and I want our clients to rest assured they are getting the best service and quality products when they choose Arizona Pristine Roofing LLC. Giving back is so important. And to be a part of my community, we have now been able to give one free roof away each year to a homeowner in need.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I am a part of a great networking group through Facebook for women in the roofing industry. That has been so helpful to talk to fellow women in the business throughout the US and Canada. I can ask any question and get an answer or guidance. I am a member of NWIR (National Women In Roofing Association), a great organization. I also attend educational roofing conferences to stay up to date with product, service, and business growth.
