Inspiring Conversations with Jaime Loya of Deportes Loya; rare ability

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Loya.

Jaime, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to share the story of how I became a business owner in the soccer community — a journey that began with something as simple as coaching my son’s soccer team back in 2023.

During our first season, one of our biggest challenges was finding quality uniforms for our players. After realizing that we needed to work directly with manufacturers to get better options, we took the steps necessary to obtain our LLC and business license. At first, our goal was just to provide uniforms for our own team, but once other teams saw the quality, they began asking us to order their uniforms as well. Before long, word spread, and demand grew rapidly.

As the business continued to expand, I began ordering additional jerseys and decided to start selling them at the local farmers market on Saturdays. The positive response from the community inspired me to take a leap of faith — after twelve years of working as an assistant manager for a large company, I decided to leave my job and fully dedicate myself to this new path.

With that decision, we opened our own soccer store. From there, new opportunities arose. We partnered with the State 48 Soccer Club in Arizona, where I was given the honor of serving as a Club Director. After successfully running tryouts for the club, we decided to launch our own soccer league. In our very first season, we had 125 kids participate. Now, as we move into our second season, we’re expecting over 200 players to sign up.

Our soccer store has continued to grow, collaborating with local teams and serving customers from across Arizona — including Phoenix, the Valley, and Tucson — as well as from states across the country. We’ve shipped team uniforms from Hawaii to New York, and even full team sets to Nebraska.

This journey has been a true blessing. None of it would have been possible without the incredible support of our community, our customers, and most importantly, faith in God — who has guided every step of this journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the soccer community and help it continue to grow in a positive way.
