Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Corbett.
Hi Greg, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My time on YouTube began in early 2020 (around the same time as Covid). I was inspired to do something new in Real Estate and started following a couple of guys up in Portland who were putting out some amazing content about what it is like living in their city/area. It was a concept that I got excited about and wanted to emulate but I had no idea what I was doing and was horrible on camera. After a lot of trial and error (and thousands of takes), I finally released my first video in May of 2020 and the “Living in Phoenix Arizona” channel was born.
Since then, I have filmed, edited, and uploaded over 100 videos and started a “LivinginPhoenixAZ.com” website to share all the info I can about what it’s like living in and moving here to Phoenix.
To this day, I still don’t feel 100% confident on camera and am challenged daily to figure out what content is most valuable to my viewers but thankfully the feedback I have received has been extremely positive and has been a valuable source of info to so many people who have or are considering a move to Arizona. And from a business point of view, it means that I have people who reach out to me daily/weekly who are looking for help and many of them are future homeowners which translates into some of the best clients I have ever worked with in my life.
It’s been three years since this adventure started but I can’t believe how much it has grown and I am excited about what it will become in the future. My vision is that the “Living in Phoenix Arizona” brand will become one of/if not the top name in Arizona Real Estate when it comes to relocation and client services within the next five years. And we will achieve that as the most “value-driven” content and service provider for all of the people we work with.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely been through lots and lots of challenges through this journey! As I like to say to anyone who is going through the same process, “Tubin ain’t easy!” And it’s not just understanding how YouTube works in general, it’s the entire process from start to finish when it comes to planning a video, creating an outline, coming up with a hook, feeling natural on camera, having good lighting, making sure the audio is good, editing, thumbnails, the list goes on and on!!
There are so many people on YouTube that make the process look easy but it is far from it. But with all that said, I always say that it has been one of the most rewarding challenges to overcome, and to see where I am now vs where I was when I started is incredible. Make no mistake, I still have a long way to go when it comes to meeting my goals and objectives but it is so much more exciting to build this than any other traditional real estate system when it comes to marketing.

The “Living in Phoenix Arizona” brand was designed with the idea that people who are looking to move to Arizona need a resource to help guide them in the right direction. We knew that people are constantly searching for “location information” but there were few resources out there that would give potential residents the info they desired. Our readers/viewers love to hear our opinions when it comes to “Pros/Cons”, “Cost of Living”, “Things to Avoid”, “Best Neighborhoods”, etc.
They also find it extremely valuable to see what areas and neighborhoods look like in person. Because of that, we are constantly out filming Neighborhood Vlogs and Area Tours to give people an inside look at what they should expect before making any decisions. Our content is extremely value-based and provides an honest look at what the positives and negatives are to an area so that potential residents can make an informed decision and hopefully save a lot of time/money by touring themselves.
And as Real Estate agents, we provide additional services that go above and beyond the typical agent by providing full home tours to potential home buyers who are out of town and need to make decisions from afar in order to save time/money.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Being 100% honest and authentic.
We don’t sugarcoat the negatives when it comes to the content we provide and we are not here to “sell” anyone that moving to Arizona is for them. The other quality that stands out in my mind is that we strive to provide value rather than be self-promoting which tends to be the norm when it comes to Real Estate agents and teams.
