Inspiring Conversations with Emylee Bogart of Desired One Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emylee Bogart.

Hi Emylee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a Family, Fashion & Business Professional Photographer of Desired One Photography specializing in Professional Portrait Artwork. In addition, I’m a world traveller, storyteller, social media guru, and justice advocate! I love to travel, drink coffee, eat ice cream, and spend time with God!

In the past, I’ve photographed and shared the gospel in India, taught English in China, volunteered on a medical ship in Papua New Guinea and managed social media content for a year in three months-Welcoming in Refugees in Brantford, Canada. I’ve traveled to over 20 countries throughout Asia, Europe, and North America!

I’m currently a Portrait Photographer, working for Uber and the US Postal Service and on the Board of Directors for Epitome of Soul.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Each journey has been different. I learned new skills for jobs and volunteering experiences, searched what transportation, medical care, and grocery stores were available in the area; and changed roommates several times.

Every day presents many challenges but if we didn’t have the challenges or the hope then we wouldn’t have the victories and the perseverance to carry on.

As you know, we’re big fans of Desired One Photography. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Desired One Photography specializes in Professional Artwork in Family, Fashion & Business. Everyone is unique and has their own story! I like to engage with my customers and think outside the box when creating unique artwork. I make a calm, relaxing and fun environment when photographing!

Whether planning a special event or have been in business for ten years, I’m here to put you at ease and capture the special occasion. I would love to update your website with professional portraits or enchant your walls with artwork that will last to the next generation!

Plus, I love to teach children and adults photography: how to capture images that fit their interests whether sports, fashion, portraits, landscapes, and much more with a camera or a phone! Learning photography creates many open doors: marketing, social media creation, graphic design, videography, travel consulting, and business! Open your eyes to a new world with these classes! I taught classes in Papua New Guinea and would love to share here in the US! Book a class today:)

Finally, I’ve traveled to many countries in Asia, North America, and Europe. I want to share my knowledge of cultures, money currencies, adventures to book, and packing tips plus humorous stories to make your travel experience less stressful and more exciting! Contact about me about availability for your Sip & Talk Session!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I explored sheep pastures with my brother, played on the slide of our playground, and took care of the baby kittens in Oregon state. Then we moved to Washington State when I was about twelve, I scrapbooked, crafted, and helped take care of the foster kids and animals- llamas, chickens, cats, and dogs! I did try a variety of sports and dances but never stuck to any of them.

I guess over the years, I’ve always liked trying new things, exploring, eating, and taking time to craft, paint and edit photographs. Some years have been quieter whereas, in other years, I’ve had a lot to say! Seasons change and people change.
