Inspiring Conversations with Emmy Lunt of Euphoria Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmy Lunt.

Hi Emmy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Before I jump into my career, I always like to give credit to my parents because they really shaped the way I approach business. One lesson they instilled in me from a young age was the value of hard work. Their motto was always, “Work hard. Play hard.” Everyone in our family learned to pull their weight, and I grew up learning how to enjoy it.

My family owned Mexican restaurants when I was growing up, so hospitality has always been part of my life. I started helping behind the scenes at a young age, and by the time I was 12, I was officially working weekend nights rolling silverware in the back, cleaning menus, and doing whatever needed to be done. Looking back, those years taught me so much about serving people, paying attention to detail, and creating great experiences.

I’ve also always been incredibly creative and entrepreneurial. When I was 10 years old, I started my own little baking business selling homemade breads, cinnamon rolls, and whipped honey butter. My mom helped me with the business side and deliveries, and it was my first taste of building something, co-running a business, and serving customers. I absolutely loved it.

As I got older, I continued working in restaurants and helping cater events through our family business. Somewhere along the way, I realized that while I appreciated the restaurant industry, what really excited me was the event side of hospitality—the celebrations, the design, and the opportunity to create meaningful experiences for people.

That realization led me to study Hospitality Management in college, where I was fortunate to receive a scholarship. Throughout school, I worked at wedding venues, resorts, and event spaces, gaining hands-on experience that confirmed I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

In October of 2022, I started planning what would eventually become Euphoria Events, and on January 1, 2023, the business officially launched. My vision was to combine everything I loved—event planning, design, styling, hospitality, and luxury client experiences—into one company. Those first months were a whirlwind. I networked constantly, participated in styled shoots almost every week to build our portfolio, and focused on creating genuine relationships within the Phoenix event community.

One of the biggest opportunities came when we relocated to Newport Beach, California, where we had the privilege of partnering with a luxury real estate group specializing in client relations and events. We created personalized client gifts, planned grand openings, open houses, private celebrations, community events, school events, and charitable initiatives. That experience expanded my perspective on luxury hospitality and reinforced that exceptional service is about making people feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Eventually, we returned to Arizona to focus more heavily on the wedding and event industry while continuing to serve our Southern California clients remotely and traveling back regularly for events. Today, Euphoria Events serves clients throughout Arizona and Southern California, and we’re continuing to grow each year. We’re also proud to currently be partnered with The Confetti Studio, where I work as their Warehouse Management Lead, and often work closely with clients through design consultations and their events. My husband, Blake, is now my business partner and co-owner of Euphoria Events, and getting to build this business together has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

Looking back, it’s funny how all the pieces connect—from rolling silverware in my family’s restaurant to selling bread as a 10-year-old, to planning luxury weddings and celebrations today. Every experience taught me something that I still carry with me in my business. At the heart of it all, my goal has always been the same: to create beautiful, intentional experiences that bring people together and leave them feeling cared for.

I truly love what I do, and this business has given me exactly what its name represents—euphoria. There’s nothing more rewarding than creating unforgettable experiences and watching people celebrate meaningful milestones and some of the happiest moments of their lives.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t think entrepreneurship is ever a completely smooth road, and mine certainly hasn’t been. Like many small business owners, there have been seasons where I questioned everything—whether I was making the right decisions, where the next booking would come from, or if all the hard work would eventually pay off. Starting a business from scratch means wearing every hat imaginable. In the beginning, I wasn’t just the planner or designer; I was also the accountant, marketer, content creator, salesperson, delivery driver, and customer service department…

Building trust in the event industry also takes time. You’re asking people to trust you with some of the biggest moments of their lives, and that isn’t something that’s earned overnight. There were plenty of long days, late nights, and weekends spent networking, attending styled shoots, and saying “yes” to opportunities that helped build relationships and establish our reputation.

I’ve also learned that running a business requires adaptability. Whether it was relocating to California for new opportunities, shifting back to Arizona to focus on weddings, or continuing to serve clients across multiple states- every season has required us to evolve. Those changes weren’t always easy, but they’ve helped shape the business into what it is today.

Through every challenge, I’ve tried to view obstacles as opportunities to learn rather than reasons to quit. Looking back, I’m grateful for the difficult seasons because they taught me resilience, strengthened my confidence, and made every milestone that much more meaningful. It’s a funny way to think about it, but I do believe the challenges are what make the successes so rewarding.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Euphoria Events ?
Euphoria Events is a luxury event planning, styling, and hospitality company serving Arizona and Southern California. We specialize in weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, grand openings, and curated client experiences. At the heart of what we do is creating events that feel intentional, elevated, and personal to the people we’re celebrating.

Our philosophy has always been: ‘simple, luxurious, affordable, and memorable.’ We believe an elevated experience doesn’t have to mean making things overly complicated or spending just for the sake of spending. It’s about knowing where the details matter, being intentional with the choices we make, and creating something beautiful that feels true to each client.

I think what sets us apart is our approach to hospitality. Beautiful design is a huge part of what we do, but it’s only one piece of the experience. We care just as much about how our clients and their guests feel, and we want people to feel welcomed, celebrated, and genuinely taken care of from the planning process through event day.

We also really value relationships. Our clients often become friends, and we’ve been fortunate to grow Euphoria largely through referrals, repeat clients, and relationships we’ve built within the event industry. I’m incredibly proud of the community we’ve created around our business and the talented vendors and businesses we work alongside in both Arizona and Southern California, including our partnership with The Confetti Studio, which allows us to provide even more personalized design and rental experiences for our clients.

More than anything, Euphoria is about creating meaningful experiences and giving our clients the freedom to actually enjoy them. We handle the details so they can be fully present with the people they love, while creating something thoughtful, memorable, and completely their own.

I’m incredibly proud of how much Euphoria continues to grow while still holding onto the reason I started it in the first place. I love what I do, and there really is nothing better than watching an idea come together and seeing people celebrate some of the most meaningful and happiest moments of their lives.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I think my definition of success has changed a lot over the years. When I was younger, I probably would have measured it by how busy I was, how much I accomplished, or how quickly I could grow. Now, I think success is much more about building a life and a business that I’m genuinely proud of.

Of course I want Euphoria to continue growing, take on bigger events, and keep moving further into the luxury event industry, but I don’t think success is defined by how big a business becomes. To me, it’s being able to do work I love, take care of the people who trust us with their most meaningful moments, build great relationships, and create a business that supports a life I actually enjoy living.

I also think success is being able to look back and know you worked hard, treated people well, stayed true to who you are, and hopefully left things a little better than you found them. If I can continue doing that while building something I’m passionate about alongside people I love, I would consider that a pretty successful life.
