Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Marcy Buehler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Marcy Buehler.

Hi Dr. Buehler, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After a difficult divorce and child custody battle, I found myself having to start over. I had sole custody of my then 18-month-old daughter and my nearest family was 2000 miles away. I allowed this situation to propel me into finding purpose and passion rather than lingering in resentment and anger. Despite working full time and caring for my daughter, I enrolled into my Doctorate program. Intuitively, I knew this was where I needed to be and when I stayed in gratitude and trust, somehow the time to manage all of this was gifted to me.

After all the challenges I had been presented, I found a way and wanted to share that gift with others. Both my daughter and I beamed with pride the day I was announced as Dr. Marcy Buehler. I went on to create my own practice where I empower women to step into courageous and authentic living so that they too can live with purpose, passion, and peace. I love making a difference and having a positive impact in the lives of others. Later I went on the publish my first book “The Conqueress: A Guide to Overcoming Obstacles and Honoring Yourself,” in which I share my personal story and the tools that I used to learn to trust and honor myself.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road I have traveled has been very bumpy, yet often it is in these trials that we find our strength, resiliency, and inner voice. With each knock, we can choose to stay down or allow it to propel us into action and lesson-learning. I have hung onto the saying, “Life happens FOR me, never TO me.” even through tears as I faced challenges with divorce and child custody, financial challenges, time management, and releasing the standards that others had defined for me. Rather, within those challenges, I found myself and became the woman and mother I was meant to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Health Psychologist and Certified Trauma Professional and trained in numerous nuero-psychology-based techniques, which allow clients to truly change the malleable brain by challenging limiting beliefs and releasing unwanted patterns. I offer individual sessions, group programs, and corporate wellness training programs.

I have a passion for meditation which bridges both science and spirituality through my formal training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and studies in India. Through this I also offer a Meditation Subscription https://vimeo.com/ondemand/drmarcyb

My mission is to empower modern women to step into courageous and authentic living so that they can release the standards and expectations of others and align with their heart’s desire. What sets me apart from others is my fusion of science, psychology, and spiritual truths.

I am proud to have published my first book The Conqueress, https://booktrib.com/2021/05/28/the-conqueress-helps-free-your-intuition-to-transform-your-life-from-the-inside-out/

All while working full-time and being a single parent. I want readers to learn to trust themselves and live life with intention and purpose.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I love nature and adventure. I have been sky-diving, rock-climbing, swimming with sharks, and para-sailing. Yet, despite growing up on a farm in Ohio, it was only in the last year that I went horseback riding.
