Today we’d like to introduce you to Deborah Peraza.
Deborah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began my nursing career in 2006 as I completed my degree as a registered nurse and quickly started working for a major hospital system as a bedside nurse. I was driven to schooling as I was a young teen mom and wanted to provide a life for my son where he could enjoy all the things that a youth should. Being a single parent was not easy and managing a full-time job and going to school part-time is even more challenging. This did not stop me however, I made several sacrifices to complete my degree all the while, providing for my son. working bedside as a staff nurse gave me many learning opportunities as well as career advancements as I did what I loved most, caring for a sick patient who otherwise couldn’t care for themselves. I progressed in the hospital system, and worked several ancillary department, such as ER, ambulatory treatment unit, and surgery department. I proceeded my career working alongside anesthesiologist where I assisted in “in office procedures” that required sedation. Eventually, I took a position as a charge Preop/PACU nurse at an outpatient surgery center and quickly grew in that role and was promoted to. as the nurse administrator for 17 orthopedic surgeons. My business knowledge grew vastly, and I began seeking other options within the nursing profession where I was enlightened to learn about aesthetic treatments and procedures. I began my journey as an aesthetic nurse in 2018 and quickly found a passion and love for the art and anatomy of facial structures and aging. I started my small business in 2019 and slowly built my client base and networking by creating relationship relationships that were based on education and safety techniques to assist in enhancing my patients already beautiful characteristics. I believe that aesthetics can be used to achieve outcomes that are realistic in a safe and natural manner. As I grew, I needed a bigger location in addition to counterparts and providers that had the same mindset and belief in acidic treatments overall. In 2022 we relocated to our central Phoenix location, which has six treatment rooms, three registered nurses, two aestheticians and offer a full service med spa to include lasers, facial treatments,, retail, skin care, injectables, and wellness services. We are a female owned business and work collectively to make all of our clients feel special and unique! We offer a no pressure consultation in hopes that we can educate our patient so they learn more about their skin and they are aging process. Not one treatment is the same for any client of ours as our plan for them is specific to their desired results. We love building friendships with each of our clients and make sure that our doors are welcoming to all! We look forward to growing in this industry to promote education of all aesthetic services, subtle and conservative treatments, affordable options, and safety above all.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Becoming a nurse was not an easy road for me as I was a single mom who needed to provide for her family and put a roof over our head. I worked sometimes two jobs and went to school at night to achieve the school. Financial circumstances were also challenging, but with the help of my family and the love of my children, I was able to overcome.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Royal Aesthetics & Injectables.?
Royal Aesthetics & Injectables was established in 2019 and I wanted a location that was able to serve all women/men and our community to learn about aesthetics in a safe and educating manner. We specialize in a full-service med spa where we offer cosmetic, injectables, aesthetic treatments, medical grade, retail, skin care, laser, services, and wellness. What sets us apart from others is that we are a group of five women, all who are mothers and embrace the beauty of our community. We intend to provide safe treatments that complement the patients anatomy, skin type and aging process. I am so proud of the establishment and business that we have built together collectively as our focus is supporting one another in the practice, empowering each other and standing for what we believe in and that is safe and quality treatments. We would like all of our clients to feel confident in our abilities as providers as well as knowledgeable and safe in our practices. We always want our clients to be able to ask us questions if they are unsure or unfamiliar with what we are offering. We stand behind our patient and our loyal to all those that walk through our door.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is that each of my patients feel they are getting. Quality treatments that help achieve their desired goals. With this being said, it is important to have candid conversations with my patients about their specific anatomy, their aging process, things that may not be able to fix and the financial and time commitment that it takes to achieve these results. Nothing that I do is Permanent and all of my patients need to come back and see me so that we can progress through their plan of care and ultimately get to an optimal level.
