Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Hirshik.

Hi Chelsea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve struggled with acne since I was a kid, and honestly, it’s what sparked my passion for skincare in the first place. I know how frustrating and isolating it can feel to not feel confident in your own skin, and that experience is what drove me to become an Esthetician. I’ve been in the industry since 2009, and over the years I’ve worked with so many different treatments, products, and clients, always learning and fine-tuning what really works.

In March 2024 I took the leap and opened my own suite, Cactus Glow Aesthetics. It’s been such an exciting chapter, giving me the space to create an environment that feels both results-driven and relaxing. My focus is on corrective treatments like facials, BioRePeel, and SkinPen Microneedling, things that not only transform skin in the short term but make a lasting difference over time.

Looking back, it feels full circle – whenfrom being that teenager desperate for clear skin to now helping my clients feel confident and glow in theirs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Struggling with my own skin from such a young age came with a lot of emotional ups and downs, and that’s part of why I connect so deeply with my clients now. Professionally, the aesthetics industry is constantly evolving, so staying on top of new treatments, science, and technologies takes ongoing commitment.

On top of that, starting my own business was both exciting and intimidating. Going out on my own meant taking a leap of faith – juggling everything from building a brand to running the business side while still making sure I’m fully present for my clients. There were definitely moments of doubt, but every challenge has pushed me to grow and reminded me why I chose this path in the first place!

Cactus Glow Aesthetics is more than a facial studio, it’s where advanced treatments meet real education. I’ve been in the aesthetics and laser industry for over 15 years, which means I bring both clinical experience and a deep understanding of skin science to every treatment plan. My background allows me to offer corrective treatments like SkinPen Microneedling and BioRePeel with confidence, while still keeping the atmosphere approachable and personalized.

Something that sets my brand apart is my commitment to education. I don’t just want clients to leave glowing, I want them to understand their skin and how to care for it long-term. Pairing in-office treatments with medical-grade skincare is key, and SkinBetter Science has become the backbone of my retail offerings because it delivers results my clients can actually see at home.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that Cactus Glow feels authentic. It’s modern, rooted in Scottsdale, and designed to empower clients to feel confident in their own skin. Whether someone is struggling with acne, aging, pigment, or just wants to invest in preventative care, I create treatment plans and home care recommendations that really work for you.

What I love most about Scottsdale is the energy! It’s vibrant, supportive, and full of people who truly value wellness, self-care, and looking their best. It’s such a perfect place to build a business around skin health because the community here really appreciates both results and experience. Plus, I’ll never get tired of the desert sunsets! They’re magic.

What I like least? Probably the heat in the middle of summer, it’s no joke! But even then, it’s a great reminder of why skin protection is so important. SPF isn’t optional here, it’s a lifestyle.
