Inspiring Conversations with Brittany Benson of Aurae Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Benson

Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born & raised in Chicago. IL. I graduated from esthetician school in 2016 & The University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021 with a Communications degree. During these times I was trying different jobs and nothing was fitting. I decided to take my first lash extension course in 2021 while working a 9-5 office job. I saw much more for myself than a typical 9-5, so I decided to take lash extensions more serious when I moved to Arizona in 2022. For the first few months of living in Arizona, I worked in a lash salon but decided to do lashes from my house instead. I grew my clientele out of my house without knowing anyone in Arizona. I now have my own suite in Tempe, Arizona doing lash extensions, lash lifts, brow laminations & educational courses!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A struggle I faced along the way was adapting to a new state while starting a new career & not knowing anyone. This forced myself to market my business on social media & put myself out there!

As you know, we’re big fans of Aurae Aesthetics . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business “Aurae Aesthetics” specializes in lash extensions but also offers lash lifts, brow lamination & educational courses. My goal in the beauty industry is to make my students feel confident and my clients feel beautiful with my elevated services providing them with the highest level of detail & care.
