Inspiring Conversations with Brittany Ball of On The Ball Virtual

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Ball.

Brittany Ball

Hi Brittany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Brittany’s journey to entrepreneurship began a little over 2 years ago when she made the decision to leave corporate nursing to be by her father’s side during his terminal battle with Pancreatic Cancer. This chapter reinforced her belief that while money can always be made, moments with loved ones are irreplaceable. As a dedicated wife & mother, she also felt the need to create something that met the needs of her family during this time.

With her background of almost 13 years in nursing, she pivoted & jumped into the virtual assisting space serving various kinds of businesses until she realized she truly enjoyed working with other healthcare providers, so she niched into Medical Aesthetics supporting injectors. She was still able to help others & work with other nurses, but now in a different capacity.
Today, she takes immense pride in helping injectors grow their businesses, ensuring they feel supported & confident that their practice is treated with the utmost care—just as if it were her own.

She recently grew her team & now has two extraordinary women whose roles as client success managers are crucial to her business & growth.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has not been without its struggles. Just like her clients, she went to school to be a nurse & not a business owner, so there was a huge learning curve of all that it entails. No one warns you that when you own a business, you wear all the hats. It is not easy to find a balance initially & figuring out how to spread your time evenly amongst the client work, the back-end business tasks & also your personal life. She still doesn’t have it all figured out, but now that she has onboarded two amazing team members due to her business growth, she is feeling some relief. The hardest part is knowing when to ask for help, which she has found is also the struggle with her clients as well. Being able to be that person for them & give them back time with their families is what brings her joy.

She also started her business during one of the hardest times in her life. Losing a parent is never easy, but between the support of friends & family, the kindness & compassion shown to her by her clients, & the support of an amazing local entrepreneurial community she is a part of, she was able to push through. There were a lot of difficult days navigating her father’s care during his battle, dealing with the grief after losing him, supporting her family through their grief & all while balancing her business & being a mom. Her resiliency became evident, but she also learned quickly how important it was to pour back into her own cup first before continuing to serve others.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Brittany & her dedicated team of client success manangers at On The Ball Virtual specialize in supporting Aesthetic Injectors & their practices by enhancing client retention, revenue, & utilization. With a comprehensive suite of services that includes administrative support, client retention messaging, monthly newsletters, data entry, strategic guidance, & more, they cater to both ongoing retainer clients & project-based needs. Their expertise extends to strategy calls, Asana VIP Days tailored for efficient task management setups across all industries, & consulting for larger MedSpas aiming to build exceptional client retention systems. On The Ball also serves national trainers from larger aesthetics brands, managing their training & travel schedules as they work in their own practices.

Brittany found a gap in the aesthetics industry where most providers had the best intentions for their client retention efforts, but they struggled to find the time as it either took away from their families or their revenue-producing time in their practices. She filled that gap, helping some providers double their reimbursements from rewards systems from the previous year, helping them increase their revenue over $100K from the previous year & increasing their schedule utilization 10-20% in just a few short months of working together.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, we know the Aesthetics Industry is only going to continue to grow with new neurotoxins, fillers, procedures & skin care products coming down the pipes. And so will the need for our services. There are a lot of new providers stepping into this industry & they do not want to go on this journey alone. And that is where we step in to support them. Each practice has its own unique ways of doing things, how they want to represent their brand & how they want to maintain their relationships with their clients. We help them develop client retention systems that maintain their relationships with their clients outside of their practices & keep them front of mind when they are ready to book their next service, whatever that may be.

More & more providers are turning to virtual support as they are in the beginning to growth stages of their businesses. Delegating frees them up to function as the CEO/Provider & play to their strengths. I see our business continuing to develop offers to support them through these stages.
