Today we’d like to introduce you to Ankita Bant.

Hi Ankita, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am Dr. Ankita Bant, a general dentist practicing in Mesa, AZ. My journey in dentistry started with passion of combining science and art and using my knowledge to give confidence, trust to my patients and make them feel good about themselves. In my practice, I focus on comprehensive care and recently I have started incorporating Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry to give healthy, beautiful and confident smile to my patients that they deserve. My mission is also to provide care to my patients so they can feel personal and judgement free. I like to educate my patients about their dental health and it’s impact on their overall health. As I continue growing my practice, I would like to do more invisalign cases by incorporating digital dentistry and hoping to inspire my patients to smile with confidence.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Managing a professional career and family does come with many struggles along the way. Balancing dentistry and motherhood has been challenging for me. As a health care provider, I also had be available to see my patients during dental emergencies. There are days where I finish taking care of my patients and right after I take my kids to their extracurricular activities. I am very lucky to have a good family support from my family, my husband and mother-in-law in raising my kids and fulfilling their needs.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I was going to dentist once to have my baby tooth pulled. I was very nervous as it was my very first time going to the dentist. However, dentist was kind and explained everything step by step in a language that I could understand. Dentist made me feel safe and in control. After that dental visit, I was looking forward to go for my dental check-up regularly with curiosity to learn about dental procedures, tools and technology used in dentistry. Overtime, I became more passionate about dentistry and helping others in achieving good oral health by educating them and providing quality dental care.
