Hidden Gems: Meet Taylor Northcott of Toxed by Tay a Wellness Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Northcott.

Taylor Northcott

Taylor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

I’m Taylor Northcott and I am the owner and founder of Toxed by Tay a Wellness Collective, or TXT. I am a Licensed Registered Nurse, aesthetician, and laser certified. I have worked in aesthetics, dermatology, and healthcare for 14 years. I currently work as an Aesthetic Injector Nurse injecting Botox, filler, and administering laser services. I live and have lived in central Phoenix for over 10 years! I live with my boyfriend and we have 2 boxers Benjamin and Birdie. I love anything pink, sparkles, Skinbetter, and coffee.

In 2020 I found myself shattered after the death of my mom and my marriage ending due to infidelity. Instead of drowning, I picked myself up and began to heal. Not only did I heal, but I thrived. My healing journey led me to want to create a community, a safe space for people to heal themselves. We at TXT firmly believe women + men are more powerful than they realize. So, we created a supportive, empowering community space that helps women + men recharge and reconnect with themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
TXT began to look for space in January/February of 2023. We found a great space and were so excited to go! At the end of the negotiation, the landlord denied our lease due to there being a hair salon in the complex and couldn’t have competing businesses. Sadly, was a repeated story of finding a location, only to be disappointed for the next 6 months. By the time we got to August, as a group we were feeling quite defeated; until we found our current location. Once we found our location, all the pieces just began to fall into place. It was such a testament to the idea that you can’t force anything in life. It was an exhausting road to make it here, but we did it!

We’ve been impressed with Toxed by Tay a Wellness Collective, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Toxed By Tay a Wellness Collective provides individuals with specialized care and wellness services that range from Botox, filler, laser, reiki, hormone replacement, yoga classes, massage, hair services, spray tans, and counseling services. TXT is an experience that makes overworked and overwhelmed individuals feel supported, confident, and empowered as they engage in the various wellness service treatments. TXT aims to be a one stop shop for all things wellness. With a wealth of variety of practitioners, individuals no longer have to run across the valley to have all their services. Life is already so busy. Individuals want to support local business but want to do it in an efficient manner. TXT provides all your services under one roof!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I LOVE Phoenix, it has been my home since 2001. I have lived in the central Phoenix area for over 10 years and I will be here for the next 10 at least. I love how centrally located we are, it’s typically a 30 minute drive to get anywhere in the valley. A negative about central Phoenix is the parking. So many places in our neighborhood I will not drive to because I don’t know if the parking lot will accommodate my vehicle. Not knowing if parking will be available is stressful. It was so important to me when finding a place to find somewhere with adequate parking, which we more than accomplished!
