Hidden Gems: Meet Susie Nixon of Healing Touch & Energy Flow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susie Nixon.

Hi Susie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Where my journey as a healer began, happened at the age of 5. One day my grandmother was limping and hardly able to walk. I began rubbing her leg. She was walking perfectly fine the next day, but I started limping. Unaware of what had happened, my mother took me to the “Curandera” (medicine woman). She had told her about me limping and that I had not fallen or been hit by anyone. My grandmother began to cry, saying, “It was me”! She shared with the “curandera” and my mom what had happened. The curandera took my hands, looked into my hands, looked into my eyes, and smiled. She told my mom, “Your daughter is a born healer, but she is far too young to touch people, so she must develop her healing.” As a young adult, I became a massage therapist and began to see how my hands had a mind and were very connected to my heart. My hands would feel the internal/emotional pain affecting the physical body.

Then about a decade later, I became Reike-attuned, which would change everything for me. I could immediately open this door to hear messages, see energy, and feel the energy on a deeper level. This continued to develop as time went by. I received my 2nd Reike attunement and could work with energy remotely. “Time and Space does Not Exist” is how this is possible; this beautiful and powerful work continued for years and was very helpful during covid times. I facilitated energy sessions for people all over the states and Mexico. My goal is to provide my work globally; I was also diving deeper into my healing, which led me to develop a program for deep healing.

I began to see how people were benefiting from it and ultimately becoming the best version of themselves. “I can be your lantern until you find your light within.” I have since received my last Reike attunement, Level 3 Master Teacher, which inspired 2 additional programs for more profound healing and developing your gifts and abilities, leading to the student tapping into their energy and eventually the energy of others. Music has always been a big part of me. I began playing the Native American flute and Crystal bowls, which allowed me to provide healing with sound baths. This has brought so much joy to my heart. The power of sound is fantastic! In the next chapter of my life, I look forward to making retreats in Sedona and Hawaii, doing more events, and public speaking.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As a mom, wife, and new business owner, I’ve had challenges learning life’s sweet balance. Learning to fill my cup first while juggling everything took a toll on my weight (that I blame covid for☺️). The stress was also a factor and a learning experience. Finding the right location was a nightmare until a higher connection and understanding that “it was all being taken care of” were made. After months of searching for a place, I was given the name of my future landlord and address by my “higher helpers.” As a small business, I still have challenges with getting noticed, and with the type of work I do, it’s been challenging to be seen in the area I am in.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a licensed massage therapist with 22 years of experience specializing in chronic pain, lack of mobility, and TMJ. I am a Reike level 3 practitioner/ Master Teacher. I provide sound healing with Native American flutes, Crystal and Tibetan bowls, and my voice. I provide guided meditation for relaxation and healing. I provide spiritual guidance and healing card messages. I am also a Soul Retriever providing Akashik records for the emotional and spiritual body.

I was once asked, “How can you do your work and flow?” My higher guidance answered, “You have been a dancer many times, and you have learned to dance to the universe’s symphony.” I see energy, feel energy, hear energy, smell energy. My ability to allow energy to flow through me sets me apart. What sets me apart is my ability to stay in the moment, and by doing so, I can tap into the magic of all possibilities in healing.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the wide variety of people and ethnic cultures. It feels like a big city, but at the same time, it feels small. Things I wish were better are the traffic, growing road rage, and disconnections I see with people and people experiencing homelessness.
